I know exactly how you feel as I am expected to carry on when I’m unwell whereas Mr SA gets to rest with his feet up. I also get a detailed report on his symptoms 😐 Twice in the last 7 years I’ve had a leg in plaster and still had to do all the cooking and cleaning!
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

Mr  LH is still not well. His cracked ribs have been downgraded to a pulled muscle. It is, however very painful when he coughs which is frquent. I am still coughing but no pulled muscle. Lots spent today but I have now got most of the presents and some cards. I am desperately trying to think of things that Mr LH will eat while he is ill. He is very fussy at the best of times but at the moment it is finding things he fancies. We went out this afternoon to buy fish food which involves going to the local garden centre which we both hate. It is crowded with people and stock, difficult to navigate and the pet department is miles from the entrance. It is, however the nearest place to buy food for the fish in the pond. When we got back we were both shattered.

Too tired tonight to do anything. The cold is still having an effect I think and I will have to take Bear out soon. He is sitting watching Mr LH eating some prawns at the moment so I dont think I will be able to move him until they are finished.

Hooray nothing spent today. Amongst the Christmas presents bought yesterday was a couple of pairs of fluffy socks. Bear instantly decided they were for him and was found chewing them - no damage luckily so I put them in a drawer in my bedroom with some other stuff. Blow me he did a snatch raid and grabbed them. Again luckily no damage after he dropped them. I am seriously thinking of getting him some of his own.

I am still doing all his walks which are not helping with my recovery but Mr LHs chest is too sore if he pulls which he does. He is still hardly eating but then he is doing even less than usual so doesnt need the calories.

I have cleared and cleaned the conservatory and cleaned out the inside of the car of at least some of the mud from Bears field walks. Sitting room hoovered and I am hoping to clean the carpet tomorrow but can only do it between waking Mr LH and him getting up or he moans about the noise. and that just annoys me.

I am now off to watch a bit of rubbish TV before Bears walk.

Glad you are feeling a bit better but it will take a while to get back up to full strength.
It's very difficult to have to do everything yourself even though you are under the weather.
bear seems to really want some fluffy socks of his own.

Fed up with mr Lh this morning. After spending ages on the phone to the GP (94 calls) I got him a face to face appointment this pm. All he is doing is moaning he has to go to the surgery.  I pointed out that if someone else had similar symptoms and the dr visited they might not have time to see him. It has partially shut him up for now.

Hope Mr LH's appointment went well and you have some respite from the complaining!

Mr LH has antibiotics so hopefully he will feel better soon.

Now a warning as this post is going to be full of self pity. I am feeling totally overwhelemed with what need to be done in the next couple of weeks, I am tired and aching from having to do all Bears walks, I need to arrange a visit to my BiL, I have an appointment for my ecg at the hospital tomorrow at 10. 30 which cuts right across the morning so very little will get done, I havent even got the decorations down from the attic yet. Mr Lh has just asked for a sausage sandwich having refused all offers of food earlier (he wanted camembert which he knows we dont have). I asked him when we came out of the doctors if there was anything he wanted and he said no. I tried to collect my tablets when I went to get the antibiotics for Mr LH and they told me they werent due until Friday and they wouldnt do them today so that is another taxi  and a waste of time. I was happy to wait for them but no chance. I dont what this is that you can only  collect meds 28 days after your last ones. I havent come across this before so I am going to complain. If I had been thinking I would have told them I wa going away tomorrow but my brain isnt functioning well at the moment. I still have Bear to walk and just feel like going to bed and crying. I also have a good friend in the area down from Scotland who wants to meet up for coffee and I really dont want to go which is stupid as I love seeing her but it is more time away. Goodness knows when I am doing the shopping this week I dont.

On the brighter side I have written Christmas cards and done up a mini hamper for my BiL for when I go down (all being well next Wednesday hopefully). I am sorry this is such a self pitying post but thats how I feel. Tomorrow is another day.
