It sounds like your loan account is reducing well - little and often overpayments make a difference.
do you sell the books on e bay?  I've got lots of "stuff" to sell but I never seem to get started.  When I finish work in the summer I think I'll make selling a priority and set myself a target to earn from the sales.  It will help with de-cluttering too.
hope you have a good weekend.

Most weeks I can put in £10 and sometimes more. Yes all my books are on ebay. They are almost all craft books that I have inherited from family (I am very un-crafty) but both my Mother and sister taught needlework, embroidery etc. I was in the wrong queue when they were handing out the right genes for this although I used to make some clothes for my daughter. I sell them on ebay because although they dont go fast I get a better price for them than the book buying companies give.

Selling on ebay can be quite time consuming so be prepared for that.

I have had a weekend with ebay sales so when the money hits the bank I will be able to pay more off the loan and put some into savings as my emergency fund has depleted somewhat with all the vet fees. There are another 2 in the offing one for insurance excess and little one has her vaccinations tomorrow but that is allowed for.

Nothing much done today other than a bit of shopping and dog walks as every time I move I become breatless. Inhaler helps a bit nut doesnt stop it. tomorrow will be a better day.

Money saving today has been forgetting to buy eggs and meat paste when I went shopping! The meat paste is for little ones tablets as it is so easy to wrap round the tablet. She had her vaccinations and the good news is her lungs are clear and her heart is no worse. He said for her age she is doing  well.

Transferred £40.00 into the loan account from ebay sales and there is another tiny amount to come from another sale today. This will stay in the bank until there is more to join it as the minmum over[payment is £10. The remaining balance is now due to to be paid in 11 months so the extras I have paid have knocked another month off the time remaining.

I have cleaned the trailer after giving up waiting for Mr LH to do it but he has put the spare wheel back on it. Now all I neeed is for him to help me with an ebay description as he thinks I am not capable of doing it on my own.

We have a another man coming next week to quote for the fence (he is away this week) so hopefully it will be less that £1900. Good job we didnt ask the mate to help MrLH with it as he has injured his back trying to move a large rock in his garden. He, like Mr LH is over 70.

Right I am now going to watch som e rubbish on TV.

Went into town toaday but only went to the post office to post my ebay sale and to Mr T to get the things I forgot yesterday plus the bacon for Mr LH. He only eats bacon for breakfast and refuses to have anything else. MrT sell bacon with rind which is what he prefers and as they sell it at a reasonable price thats what I get. It still costs about £6.50  a week so is definately not a cheap option. It has recently gone up by 14p a packet.

Not money saving but I did resist going to any other shops so nothing else spent.

Not bbeen on for a few days but have been busyish. I was out gardening before 8.30 this morning. Hacked a load off our rampant sage plant and sorted out a few bits and pieces. The timing was because I was woken by a horrible headache before 6am and I know when tah happens the only way to clear it is to get up and start the day. It was also better because it wasnt too warm at that time - I am no good in the warm weather and dread heatwaves.

We had our sky upgrade fitted on Friday including a new dish as the old one was very rusty.

The fencing guy is due on Tuesday and as our neighbours fence is also falling apart we asked if she would like us to ask our chap if he would quote for her at the same time. She came round to see her panels from our side as she has shrubs against the fence so it is hard to see. I then promptly fell over. You do feel very silly when it happens in front of other people. It did have a good result though as I was about to go and cut the front lawn so Mr LH offered to do it. He neber does it so it was a great treat even if he did bring the lawnmower through the house with the grass box still attached so it threw grass all over the carpet :s.  Hoovered that up and then dog walking. Had a catch up with a friend we hadnt seen for a while so a nice sociable walk.

Money saving wise another £10 overpayment to the loan but thats about it. No spending on Friday or today but needed a couple of bits yesterday including carpet shampoo . Still our lounge carpet is now cleaner than it was.

Nothing else to report so I am now going to watch the great big tiny challenge.

The fencing guy came this afternon and has given us a quote of £500 for the fence and a very reasonable one for our neighbour who needs a couple of panels replacing. Very happy with that and a great improvement on £1900 for the orignial man. The only snag is we will have to wait until the middle of July but knowing how hard it is to get fencers round here I am not too surprised.

The trailer I listed for auction at the weekend has a bid and several watchers so I am pleased with that as hopefully it will soon be gone and a decent amount to put in the loan account. I have also sold a couple of books so thats a few more pennies. A good day all round today.

Sounds like the first guy didn't really want the job so quoted very high in the hopes you wouldn't ask him to do it!  The latest quote sounds much more reasonable.

That was the conclusion we had come to. I just wish they would say that.
