What a shock to find out about your friend.  I suppose lockdown gave exactly the right conditions for coercive control.  Thankfully her family have rescued her and it's good that they told you or you might have assumed she was avoiding you now that she has moved away.

you are doing well with your sales and really making inroads into your loan - less than a year to go now.

using the veggie water for gravy is probably adding nutrients from the veggies into the gravy - good idea - money saving and healthy.

We actually have seen our friend for several years even before lockdown We use to take it in turn to either visit them or they visit us but we gradually realised that we were not especially welcome and they stopped coming here however we had been friends for a long time before her husband died so I did try a few times but was rebuffed. I now know why  and she was gradually cut off from all her other friends from what I can gather. Her son says she will ring soon but she can barely string 2 words together at the moment. I hope she does as I have missed her.

Sales just plod through and I am still hoping that I can pay it by the end of the year but we have been invited to a wedding in October which is a long way from here so is going to cost a fair bit to get but we really want to go if at all possible.

Groceries have been a lot this week as Mr LH is going to a festival next week from tuesday until Sunday so I have almost done 2 weeks shopping in 1. plus more alcohol than we usually have.

On the good side I put £10 into the loan on Monday and another £15  today . All from ebay sales. I have had 2 more books sell today  but that money will wait for next week. I also have bids on 2 items that finish on Sunday. We are down to 9 months left to pay so all is good.

Lots of courgettes growing plus some of the cucumber seedlings  seem to be surviving so far. The tomatoes are growing well so hopefully that will save a bit of money.

Must go the little one is squeaking to go out so on my way for the 6th outing of the day with her.

Yet another trip to the post office yesterday to post ebay sales. Nothing to post today. Is that good because I dont have to go out or bad because there is nothing that has sold? Not sure but there are now bids on 3 items ending Sunday.

Picked up Mr Hs tick and flea treatment from the vet as he is going away next week to somewhere where there are likely to be ticks and as he has long hair we would never find them to remove. The little one has a different treatment to him.

A no spend day today unless Mr LH comes up with something. He will be starting to get things ready for going away today! He isnt going until Tuesday but gets very anxious before he goes (all part of his mental health problems) but I know he will enjoy himself seeing lots of people he knows and only sees there. It is a small festival group that have events in different parts of the country through the summer months.

My friend whose son removed her from a difficult situation now has covid. She doesnt have much luck. Hopefully she will recover fully and quickly as she has oher health problems.

Well I had better go and do something as I can hear the washing machine has finished doing its thing.

Not been around much this week as Mr LH has been away at a festival with Mr H so I have spent the week doing some much needed cleaning. Unfortunately that has not been too good for my health as I have been left utterly exhausted and having breathing problems. I have done very little today and beginning to feel a lot better for the rest. The travellers returned late last night instead of today due the the forecast of storms overnight. I dont think they actually happened where he had been but he was concernrd for Mr H in a camper van during a storm. They have had a good time and are at home until the next one in August.

The good thing about him being away is that I have not spent anything other than a top up shop of cleaning cloths and bleach.
I think all the Jubilee celebrations have had a bad effect on ebay as I have only sold a couple of books this week but hoping for a bit more next week.. Must finish here to ring my BiL to check he is ok.

Busy day yesterday as I had parcels to post from the weekend. Went to catch the bus to the PO but it never turned up so ended up walking there (about a 15minute walk - I am not the fastest) but got the bus home. Also did some shopping in MrS. Did all the usual jobs. make bed, tidy up, morning dog walks  etc. Then when we had walked the dogs after lunch we went to Mr T where I forgot to buy some compost so will have to con Mr LH in the next day or two to give me a liift to get some.

There was too much activity yesterday as by the evening I was exhausted and had problems with my breathing when I took Mr H out for his last walk so went to bed a little earlier than usual and slept until just gone 7am this morning so about 8hours which is unusual for me. Still feel a bit washed out this morning so planning a fairly easy day. Myasthenia is a pain as you never know how you will be from one day to the next but I am lucky in that my symptoms are fairly mild compared to others. My greatest problem is the tiredness it causes if I do too much.

Excitement in the garden yesterday as I have picked my first three courgettes. I have never grown them before but they seem to be doing well and I noticed the first flowers on a couple of my tomato plants.Lettuce and spinach are growing well and I have moved the cucumbers to on top of the table in the garden so they are not being eaten now.

A book sold overnight so another £ or two for the loan account when there is enough to transfer.
Did some money moving today as my NHS pension has hit the bank account. Another £10.00 to the loanwhich is now in the £1300s and the money in the save the change account is being saved to put to the loan if I cant pay it off by the end of the year so there is another £68 towards that. I am saving it for now so that I know how much I have saved during the year as I only opened the account in January and am hoping I may not have to use it at all.

Well its now gone 9am so had better get myself in gear and do something useful. Have a great day anyone reading this.

I’ve been late with my courgettes and they are still at the small plant stage but growing fast by the day. I’m also growing aubergines, tomatoes, lettuce, purple sprouting broccoli, raspberries, basil, chives, rosemary, mint and coriander.

I hope you feel a bit better and less tired tomorrow.

I am still quite weary today not helped by Mr LH deciding last night he was soooo tired he had to go to bed just before the time we take the dogs out so despite it being his turn to do the longer one I ended up doing both. Not amused and then he didnt get up until his usual lunchtime complaining the little one had him up at 3am.

Went to post an ebay sale first thing and bought a small bag of compost so he didnt have to take the car out. I will get a full size one when I shop next week. The lady who fostered Miss W while she was still at Battersea is coming to see us on Saturday. She has a friend in the south west and we are more or less on her way so she has always called in on her way for  coffee and lunch. It will be very strange for her without Miss W.

Money saving is non existent at the moment as Mr H was at the vet yesterday as he suddenly started limping badly and biting his paw. The vet thinks it is his arthritis and has given him some painkillers for a few days and he is restricted to lead walks, We left the surgery £70 poorer. I also need to get a new railcard before next week when I am going to see BiL for this months visit before the railways go on strike. Mr H has his vaccinations and a groom later this month so that will be another £70 or so. It never ends. It ok for Rishi Sunak telling pensioners we will get a cost of living rise next April but that means we have still lost out this year and it wont catch up. I am grateful for any rise as I know many people havent had rises for some years but pensions in this country are pretty low to start with and neither of us get the full pension foe various reasons I dont understand.

The garden is doing quite well as I have very little idea about what I am doing. I only have pots to grow things in and there is limited space especially as everything will have to be moved next month for the fence to be replaced which will be hard as there is only a small area to move things to as next door are having theirs done at the same time so both sides will need to be left clear. Mr LH will have to help as some of the pots are heavy and I am not sure I can move them on my own. That is, I think, enough moaning and wittering for one day. Have a good evening all.

    hope your tiredness is improving.
