That sounds like a very stressful train journey. I hope you enjoyed the fish and chips.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

Thank you SA. Yes it was stressful but the fish and chips almost made it worthwhile. As expected I was totally washed out yesterday and am still a bit weary this morning. Mind being woken at 5.30 am yesteday and 6am today hasnt helped. I have done a couple of jobs in the garden this morning before it got too hot. I am no good at all in the heat but am not sure if it is the myasthenia or the tablets I take for it but it is common. The dogs are just lying about snoozing. As soon as the sun goes off the garden Mr H will be lying on the flagstones to cool himself.Nothing spent today or yesterday other than DD.Now I am off to hoover the conservatory if it isnt too hotor I will do it tomorrow when it should be much cooler.2

My dog doesn’t take the heat well now she’s older although she still kept bringing me her ball to throw.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

What a change in the weather. Cool and cloudy this morning and then showery this afternoon. The dog are much brighter today as it is cooler. Mr H still went out to sit on the patio despite it being wet then we realsied it was raining and he was still out there. The door was open so he could have come in but seemed quite content getting wet. Brought him in anyway. Neither of ours are intersted in balls. The little one will occasionally chase one but as soon as it stops she loses interest and Mr H will only chase one if he has some competition from another dog. However we are discouraging this as he has arthritis and his back legs have collapsed a couple of times. He is at the vet on Monday for his vaccinations and a check up so i will discuss it then. The penalty of having old dogs.Still no spending which is just as well as with one thing and another it has been a very expensive month. Must try harder in July as August is another pricey month as DD & DGDs birthdays and 2 festivals which although the tickets are paid for the food, alcohol and diesel aren't. Both are a good distance away. 1 in Lincolnshire and 1 in N. Wales. A long way from the west country.Have hoovered the conservatory today so that looks better. It was far too hot yesterday for me to do it then.Little wins today I used the veg water to mix the gravy granules, remembered to refill the kettle while it was hot for our next cuppas and put the pork for tomorrows roast in the fridge from the freezer so the chill from the frozen pork will help to keep the fridge cooler. All marginal but every little helps.Have a good evening all.1

A sunnt day this morning but cloudy with the odd rain showers this afternoon. Picked another 3 courgettes and some spinach for dinner. I have also sown some more chard. I dont know if it will grow as its late but with our garden being protected and living in the west country I can hope.Still no money spent but i have had a couple of tiny (in value) sales this weekend so a trip to the PO is on the cards and to buy some milk. I use skimmed and MrLH has FF but mine has gone off which is quite common when it gets very hot. If a heatwave is going to last I buy 2 litres instead of 4 or freeze half.We have spent the afternoon trying to work out how much a 2 night trip to the Isle of Wight will cost bearing in mind our car is quite expensive to run and getting from here to Southampton will cost a fair bit plus 2 night accomodation. . We have been invited to a wedding in October and really want to go as it may well be the last time we see the Mother of the groom. This may scupper my plans to pay off the loan by the end of the year but even if we make no more overpayments it will be clear by early next year.Mr H is at the groomer tomorrow so will looks a bit better than he does at the moment.Nothing else to report at present except a piece of roast pork for dinner and the rest will make a risotto tomorrow..1

Annoying start to the day when I walked to the PO only to find I had forgotten my purse so walked home again before returning to the PO on the bus. Also did some shopping and managed to spend £27.00 on very little but all stuff we needed. Main shop is tomerrow so I will see what that come to. Milk is up again.Usual dog walking etc and then Mr H to the groomers. He is looking much smarter in time for his vaccinations tomorrow. She did comment of his back end being weak but I was gong to talk about that to the vet anyway. He will have to hav kennel cough vaccs this time as he will be going into kennels when we go to the wedding in October.I have also spent ages online working out the cheapest way of getting to the Isle of Wight. Mr LH was going to drive but taking into account the cost of diesel and the vehicle ferry it will be more economical to go by train assuming the strikes are sorted by then even though there will be an extra days boarding for the dogs. We will go and look at the kennels before then as we have two alternatives to go at. I think he is quite relieved a last time he went to Southampton docks he got very lost.I have withdrawn £10 from paypal from surveys so that is now in my savings account. No else financial to report. Have a peaceful evening.1

Our vet does the kennel cough vaccination as routine even though our dog doesn’t go in kennels. Can’t remember exactly what they said as to why but it wasn’t to do with kennels. It’s part of the Pet Plan so nothing extra to pay.I’ve noticed prices are creeping up week on week now ☹️I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

Sorry been MIA for a couple of days mainly due to the weather being far too hot for me and the dogs. Been walking them at night so have not had the evening computer time and have had to do other things first thing as by 10am I am wiped out. I am/ was a redhead, now largely grey so more a strawberry blonde so I have never really done the sun but the Myasthenia medication messes up temperature control so now even worse. About 7.30pm Mr LH wanted some ivy cut back and although only about 1foot x 1 foot patch I was literally dripping despite being in the shade. Anyway suffice it say not much is being done at the moment.PO visit this morning for another tiny ebay sale and I need tomatoes and a couple of other bits. As it is still very warm it will be bus both ways. Boy am I looking forward to the weather getting cooler. Sorry SA and other sun worshippers. No spend yesterday and have put whole £10.00 in the loan account. We are now in the £1100s so it is starting to appear to go down quite quickly now.Now I must go and put some water on the tomato plants or by this evening they will look half dead.1

PO trip again today as another 2 tiny sales. It has been a much better week this week although money wise not a lot. Even better I have 3 novels which are now bid up to a better price than I was expecting and another craft book has sold which I will post on Monday.Whilst I was at the PO I went to BM and bought a quilt for Mr LH as he still had his winter one on. I had used his summer one for Miss W when she was poorly and had to dispose of it when she died. The weather has been much better for me today, very grey and looks threatening but only a couple of 2minute showes of light rain. It is much better for my health. Talking of health I had a text from my GP to book the spring booster covid jab. I was surprised as I didnt think I was eligible but it must be because of the myasthenia even though I dont take steroids. In view of the rising number of cases I am quite happy to be getting it.Other than the quilt and postage no money spent and next week I will be able to put a little into the loan account and a little into savings so happy with that.1
