Feeling a lot better today with no paracetamol for my head. Did some jobs in the garden but I need to crack on as everything will need to be moved in the next week or two for the fence to be replaced. I also need to move stuff on the other side as my neighbour is having 3 panel replace instead of two and they will need to be done from our side as she has shrubs in way. I am not impressed with that because we are going to be strapped for space aantway but needs must and it wont be for long.Shopping this afternoon and spent far too much again. Bought a Chinese meal box but wont bother again as we werent impressed. I was just looking for something for a change. I took a shopping list as usual but think I am going to really crack down on the budgeting especially as Mr LH has another festival at the end of the month and it is completely the other side of the country so fuel will be a small fortune. He may not go if the weather is too hot but we will leave decisions until nearer the time.Still no ebay sales so I think I will have to look at the listings and see if I can tweak them to be more appealing.I am not lookiing forward to the weekend and early next week with the forecast as it is. I will just be a soggy blob on the sofa I think and its certainly not doing the little ones health any good. She is coughing dreadfully from the fluid build up and her tablets are not available at the moment. She has 3 left and. I am not sure what to do after that. The vets are trying to source something but no joy at the moment. I am getting a bit worried.Right off to look at ebay to see what I can fiddle with.1

Stumbled across this diary at around 4.30 am . Hope you don't mind me popping by 😼
I'm about halfway through ..
Sorry for the loss of one of your dogs . The things that resonate with me here , is that I too have myasthenia gravis . It's now known as ocular on the specialist notes from the specialist at st Thomas's hsp. It has been called various other types . "Embarrassing annoying condition " is not on the Doctors notes as far as I can tell .
I admire your stance on keeping away from steroids ; Prednisolone is evil ( or was in my case until I forced myself off of it a few years ago!)
The other thing that resonates here , is your other half's intolerance to certain foods!
I too am very fussy , not by choice . Being force fed food from " dinner ladies" (;who are hopefully dead now ) effected me in a huge way for the rest of my life . The worst things on earth to me are spring onions🤮🤢 ..infact any onions ! Garlic 🤮same with salad 🤮
Yes , I am odd ! 😺 potatoes and peas are my only veg . Still, I'm still alive for some reason.
Anyway, finally to say that you are doing a great job with everything and hope everything improves for you and the dogs 🐕🦺🐕
Almost forgot to mention that pharmacy2u is better than going to useless pharmacies imho!
I'll leave it there ..😼3 -
Hello another casualty. It nice to hear from you. I did chuckle at your description of embarrassing annoying condition. I know exactly what you mean. I know that us ocular patients are lucky that legs dont suddenly give out etc but eyes are the thing that people notice first and walking around with one eye half closed and the other drooping does make you a bit self conscious. I used to wear sunglases most of the time but have given up now. The thing I find most difficult is the tiredness which is a constant companion for me.Thank you for the pharmacy2you tip especially after having to walk down to the pharmacy for today for the tablets they didnt have last time. A 20 minute walk in the heat was just what I needed - Not.I hope you dont find my rambling too boring. My life is very quiet and full of routine.2

Boring and routine suits me fine ( well most of the time ) , compared to putting up with crap / horrible people etc . Being nice in the workplace and beyond used to be an excuse for narcissists etcRegarding the prescriptions etc; I get 2 months supply . I asked my doctors for this , so that I wouldn’t be stuck without
The most important drugs for me ( azathioprine / pyridiostigamine) are the ones that the pharmacy always had problems getting for some reason. The attitude was akin to approaching aggressive dogs .The only thing about Pharmacy2U, is the constant bombardment of messages and multiple reminders. Don’t forget to download the app if you do decide to go with them .
I’ll leave it there ..😼1 -
LadyHolly - your eBay sales might be a bit slow now but you have paid a lot off your debt by selling.I hope you are doing ok in the heat.Another Casualty - my worst school dinner experience was baked beans (Luke warm) with chunks of spam floating around in them served with typical school dinner mash with lumps. I wasn't allowed out to play until it was eaten.2

I had many incidents but the worst ( on more than one occasion ), was the cold lumpy salad with maggots ..and the frozen lumpy potatoes 🤮.Being old is not so bad 😺1 -
My worst school dinners were custard, (I actually vomited in that one) and tapioca / sago. I still cant face them. The dinners werent to bad but puddings in general were horrible except at my first school where the heads wife did the cooking and being a private school there werent many of us. Things went downhill rapidly in my next schools. (Father in RAF so moved several times). The heat is very hard to cope with but its not been too bad today. I am not looking forward to the weekend and early next week.I dont do many people thats why we have dogs. They dont lie, make up stories about you etc.3

On the subject of school dinners, I used the money to buy savings stamps from the post office and ate nothing instead. My mum used to wonder why I was so hungry when I got home from school. Also walked to and from school and bought savings stamps with the bus fare money. Early MSE at its finest 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Ah yes the post office ! I remember one of my chores was to collect the child allowance every week from there. I was allowed to buy sweets there now and again .
I must've been like a cannibal " where's mum , I'm starving " 😼

We were only allowed either an apple or a piece of bread and butter on return from school. That is until Mum was working full time and then the biscuit tin was regularly raided.Hooray I have had a tiny ebay sale - a whole £2.00, still it all helps. I have worked it out with the rest of the years loan payments plus what is in my save the change account I will be about £50 short of paying off the loan by December (if my maths is correct ) which I should be able to find before then. That will be a huge relief.I cant get hold of the fence guy so I am wondering if he now doesnt want the job. I will give him until after the weekend and then tell him to get lost and try to find someone else.I am really fed up with this as the fence is falling apart and needs repplacing asap. We have already waited for him for a couple of months. As I have said before if people dont want the job tell me dont keep me hanging on.Anyway must go and send my ebay sale and pick up some mushrooms for a resotto tomorrow. I am doing the roast tonight a it is going to be too hot over the weekend to becooking much.2
