Have you tried again with the covid one as when I booked mine the nearest was over 4 miles away but when I booked my sons there was one less than half a mile away.

I have just tried again - thank you for the suggestion, but although the latest one is nearer it is even more inaccessible. A we live in the biggest town round here excluding the city 25 miles away I really dont get why we are expected to travel miles to much smaller places. I will keep trying.

Definitely worth keeping trying with the covid, people were saying they couldn't find anything local, but when I booked mine, there was loads available.  They obviously release slots periodically.  Hope you get one.

In the garden and up the ladder by 8.30am. Fortunately it didnt rain until this afternno so I stayed dry.  I had to get the lumps of moss off the conservatory roof before I started. There was on one bit I couldnt because the ladder would have to be on the gravel and I didnt think that was a good idea. The guttering wa sthen cleared out. There was half a garden up there but it is now clear. While I was up the ladder I wiped the conservatory down which was very grubby especially at the top near the roof.  I then carried on clearing up in the garden and pulling up weeds so an active morning.

I am still struggling with the accessible bit of the theatre website. It does not want to accept any pasword they give me. I am in touch with them but so far not much help. One day I might be able to book some tickets using the accessiblle route. I am getting quite frustrated with it all and might give up.

I had to get anew supply of Bears calming tablets so not a no spend day. I had stopped them but he seemed to be getting more stressed so have restarted them especially with fireworks on the way. I cant think he will be a fan. He did quite well today with a neighbours collie although we didnt get to close. He was less keen on a small fluffy dog that was ccharging around even though it didnt get close and he definately wasnt keen on two crows sat on a nearby roof while we were talking to someone.

It is supposed to be fine tomorrow so probably more clearing in the garden. That what happens when you dont stop the weeds early on and I can only do about half an hour at a time. Still its getting done and the weather is cool enough for me to work.

@ladyholly - If it makes you feel any better, it's been one if those years for weeds. We did get on them early - both of us - & I'm lucky that Mr F is a demon veg bed weeder.....but the warm spell then a very wet July & August was just perfect for weeds & we are inundated with them. I'm doing little & often as we have quite a big garden. The good thing about this time of year is that the only garden tasks I need to be done to a deadline are getting the sweetpeas sown & garlic planted this month, getting bulbs planted (done....& a fair bit of leeway with that) & getting tender plants undercover. Everything else can be done gradually & mindfully between now & the end of Jan.

Can you not book the accessible tickets on the phone?   I have problems the other way round - I have to phone in box office hours to get the discount and can't book online

Well done on the garden.  It's been a very prolific year for weeds for sure!

Thanks to all for your kind replies. The weeds are mainly grass in the gravel which is quite a big area and dandelions and other assorted "stuff - no idea what,  that are on the paved areas. I am making progress and am trying to clear some each day along with weeding the pots. If I could kneel down and weed it would be easier but I get cramp on kneeling and once down Ihave great difficulty getting up without falling over so it all has to be done bending over which restricts my breathing. I sometimes feel I am falling apart but then realise how lucky I am in that I can do most things albeit slowly and things could be much worse.

peb Yes I could phone but I am not good on the phone as I get flustered and then if the person on the other end has an accent I found I have trouble hearing them properly. Foreign accent are hard as are Scottish ones. I even have trouble with my BiL sometimes and he is from Hampshire which is where I was born although I left as a young child. I will persist for a bit longer and see if the problem can be resolved but I think I may have to resort to the phone. It is ridiculous that it appears to be so difficult. A friend has also had trouble and has had to resort to the phone which tells me it is their system that has a problem.

Onto today today. It was fine fine this morning so a bit more weeding done. I have tested the heating as we like to ensure all is well before we need to use it and as it was chilly today I thought Mr LH may need it tonight but the sun this afternoon has warmed the house up nicely. Not much else as MrLH got up early which stops me from doing anything useful as i know as soon as I start something he will need me for something( usually things he could quite easily do with me). Bear was a good boy on his walk and then a friend dropped in so that the day gone. Nothing much achieved but there is always tomorrow as it is supposed to be nice again. Hopefully not too cold.
