Oh no that’s dire 😡 Hope they compensate you. What is it with these broadband providers that makes them think they can get away with poor customer service!

Thank you. I doubt we will get any compensation. I just wish we had some communication from them. The people doing it are not actually our brodband supplier although they made the appointment. We should have known it would all go wrong after the chaos the company who are supposed to be doing the work created when they put in the cabling in our town.

On a happier note Bear had a nice time when we went to the field although his behaviour wasnt as good at last week. He wanted to play with his ball but certainly didnt want to bring it to us. He chases it, picks it up and then takes it to another part of the field. We get nearly as much exercise as he does. We were both shattered when we got home.

Downstairs polishing done and then some work in the garden. The home made weed killer is working albeit slowly and you never know we may eventually be weed free or at least only the odd one. It is still quite warm out but at the moment it is raining quite heavily.

Money is going as planned although I dont think there will be much left to add to savings as I want to get some bits for the garden. I am thinking of a dwarf buddleia to attract the butterflies. I know there are some issues with them as they do not help caterpillars but according to butterfly conservation it is still worth growing them and from what I have read many of the dwarf variety are sterile so are not invasive. I just have to decide which variety and ensure we have the room. Our garden isnt very big and more of a problem is that one side of it gets minmal sunshine except in the height of summer. I think I need some shade plants to go.that side. Off to do more more research .

My dog rarely brings her ball back. I spend more time looking for it than throwing it 😕

Our dog doesn't bring it back either.

I don't have a dog but the ball chasing antics of my cat always make me smile.  When a ping pong ball is bounced the cat adopts a low crouching stance, wiggles his bottom and stares intently as if he is stalking a prey.  We watch and wait with anticipation for action and all he does is grudgingly pat the ball once and walk away to go back to sleep 😺

Blackcats This made me laugh as I can picture it.

I am glad we are not the only people with a dog who doesnt retrieve a ball. He had a very restless night last nigh as he couldnt decide where he was going to sleep. On the bed, off the bed, at the top of the stairs, downstairs back on the bed etc.
We have had an email from our internet provider telling us they will investigate and answer within 5 working days. That seems a long time when all they need to do is email/ phone their contactors and find out why there was no show. I have to say we are not hopeful of a sensible answer.

Had to go out this morning as we have no potatoes and I forgot them on Monday. On return I continued with tidying up the garden. I am about halfway through. Its a good job we dont have a big garden or I would never get through it. Tomorrow I think I am fgoing to brave any rain that we may have as I have seen there are weeds growing the conservatory guttering and with heavy rain forecast it needs doing urgently. I could get Mr LH to do it but he has to spen ages thinking about things before he gets on with them so up the ladder I go. I alsoo hoovered downstairs so quite a busy day. I have also completed some surveys and the £5 from ones previously completed have hit my account.

I still havent picked the buddleia so might do that when I have read the diaries I am subscribed to.

I forgot to say my GP sent me a text telling me to book a flu jab so did it straight away aand booked in for Monday morning. I have been meaning to phone them all week. I havent had covis as the place I was directed to is a stupid distance away. I am hoping the GP might offer one if they have them.

We struggled to get somewhere local for a Covid jab and have ended up having both flu and Covid jabs at a different GP to ours but booked by our GP practice. It’s only 2 miles away so not too bad.
