The issue date is 27 March 2023. This only arrived a couple of days ago though.KeithP said:
Well that's entirely different.JustAUser said:
Not sure about that. It’s not a debt collection letter. It’s a claim form from the “County Court Business Centre”.KeithP said:
You haven't told us who has sent you that letter.JustAUser said:Update:Letter before claim has come through. Have 14 days to make a decision.I’ve emailed the landowner and complained. Just waiting to see what they say. Hoping that they will just cancel the invoice and this will all be over.Have a feeling that this won’t happen however. So asking UKPC for a SAR request to see what I can use for the defence.Anxious about it all and it’s getting to me.
The simple fact that it only offers you fourteen days to respond means that it is not a Letter Before Claim or Letter of Claim and your posts last April told us you understood that.
I would suggest to you that that letter is nothing more than a debt collectors letter.
The fourth post of the NEWBIES thread explains exactly how to deal with debt collectors letters, but to summarise that post - ignore them.
You seem to have learnt nothing over the last year.
When you started this thread you were telling us about debt collectors letters.
You are still telling us about debt collectors letters.
Was the guidance offered last year no good?
Didn't you send a SAR to the parking company last year?
Not sure how you were expecting to get an appropriate answer when all you told us was "Letter before claim has come through. Have 14 days to make a decision".
What is the Issue Date on your County Court Claim Form? With a Claim Issue Date of 27th March, you have until Monday 17th April to file an Acknowledgment of Service but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.To file an Acknowledgment of Service, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.Having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Tuesday 2nd May 2023 to file your Defence. That's over four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute. To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service guidance.Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.
Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.3 -
DCBLegal but you need to remove that image IMMEDIATELY as it shows your claim number and unique password - eek!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Suggest you delete that image of your Claim Form as soon as possible.
You have left clearly showing you Claim Number, your MCOL password, your vehicle's registration number and your PCN number. With that, anyone can find your full name and address.
That's enough information for anyone, who perhaps doesn't have your best interests at heart, to file a rubbish and abusive Defence on your behalf.3 -
Thank you this information is very appreciated. I will get this done when convenient and as soon as possible. 17th April is a few days but I want to be prepared.KeithP said:JustAUser said:

@Coupon-mad and @KeithP Uploaded the wrong edited photo, thank you for the warning!! Note to self, reply using a desktop from now on.0

I understand now that this claim form is past the Letter Before Claim. My mistake for getting confused, but thank you all for the clarification. I hope that this reaches discontinuation and this scam will be over! These scare tactics are appalling. Appreciate the assistance from before and now everyone
