UPDATE- Right, after looking around the forum, I think I can ignore this letter too.I don't think it is a Letter Before Claim as this is not written anywhere. Also, it did not come with the 30 day reply form and an Annex 1 Information Sheet. Additionally, I have been given only 14 days to reply, not 30.
I think it is another debt collection letter, only this time it is from a solicitors.
So I think the next letter will be the LBC, even though it says it will "...issue Country Court Proceedings" against me if I don't pay it off within 14 days.PLEASE, tell me if I am wrong though, I only have a few days before the 14 day limit is up.0 -
You're correct, it's not a LBC. QDR muddy the water, but ultimately they are acting in a debt collection mode. Save the @jabfish response for another day.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

UPDATE- After going through many people and different emails, I think I have found the landowners. Now to write the complaint. However, I am stuck. I have looked around the forum but I am still not sure how to word this or how to make the complaint effective. I cannot find a template where I can start from. Do I need to provide the evidence? How much detail do I need to go into? Can someone kindly point me in the right direction? Any links would be enough. I would be grateful for this. Thanks0

There are no templates for complaint letters/emails. Perhaps put what you plan to write in a reply here and we'll critique?

There's an entire thread called 'Successful complaints about PPCs' and it's the first link in the NEWBIES thread. That's why it's there, for examples of wording.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Update:Letter before claim has come through. Have 14 days to make a decision.I’ve emailed the landowner and complained. Just waiting to see what they say. Hoping that they will just cancel the invoice and this will all be over.Have a feeling that this won’t happen however. So asking UKPC for a SAR request to see what I can use for the defence.Anxious about it all and it’s getting to me.0

You haven't told us who has sent you that letter.JustAUser said:Update:Letter before claim has come through. Have 14 days to make a decision.I’ve emailed the landowner and complained. The simple fact that it only offers you fourteen days to respond means that it is not a Letter Before Claim or Letter of Claim and your posts last April told us you understood that.
I would suggest to you that that letter is nothing more than a debt collectors letter.
The fourth post of the NEWBIES thread explains exactly how to deal with debt collectors letters, but to summarise that post - ignore them.
You seem to have learnt nothing over the last year.
When you started this thread you were telling us about debt collectors letters.
You are still telling us about debt collectors letters.
Was the guidance offered last year no good?
Didn't you send a SAR to the parking company last year?4 -
You do not have to do anything in 14 days! That isn't a LBC.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
