    Pretty certain nothing's changed.
It hasn't changed as far as I could tell, my post was just to report that nothing has changed.

As to whether I'll get a Child & Co. card, I don't know - If this whole online/offline is still something they do, I don't appear on CRAs yet, so I imagine I wouldn't be trusted with an offline card - but we'll see. Hoping I at least get the chequebook

  • Has anyone with a Drummonds or Child and Co account successfully upgraded to the fee paying Premier Reward Black account? (Without being eligible for premier on income etc)

@Marchitiello did. You'll be reissued with a debit card as if you'll get a new design, but in fact it'll be the same Drummonds/Child & Co that all applicants get.

Pretty sure @Marchitiello was eligible for premier..

I upgraded too - I think it was an automated income check and then the PRM reached out to introduce herself (and interview me!)

Sorry yeah I didn't see that. I think NWG are strict on their requirements (which are already higher than HSBC and Barclays).

Can't imagine the sort code the account is held at makes a jot of difference with that.

The form goes down every night doesn't it?
Pretty sure it does, but see pages 39-40 - @[Deleted User] reported the form appeared different.

It successfully allowed me to select Child & Co. using an iPad on safari
I think I was mistaken. I had previously loaded the form on the desktop. When I checked it again after the RBS design refresh it was on a mobile, the mobile version looks modern whereas the desktop form looks old. But there was no change.

But I can confirm the form did not work overnight.

    That’s good to know.

I am pleased to report that despite being someone with no credit history (was concerned re online/offline) I have today received a Child & Co. Branded physical card.

    Good news, enjoy!

I much prefer the Child brand over Drummonds, and I keep the account as a spare for now but put the odd bit of money in just to keep it active.

Yes, they confirmed eligibility first but I only have Premier Rewards (for the rewards that I exchange to Avios), not Premier Black Rewards (so not sure if Black would call for a general RBS Black Rewards Debit Card rather than the Drummonds/Child & Co card). Between the wife and I we already get more than what  Premier Black Rewards would offer from other providers (Nationwide FlexPlus, Amex Platinum, HSBC Premier and Chase plus other Forex fee free options), however I would be interested in experiencing the concierge service on offer, especially now that the Amex Platinum’s one has  been massively downgraded.

Was just about to ask who said anything about Premier *Black* Rewards and then I saw it. Teaches me a lesson.

Either way, for the OP question I don't think there's any material difference between upgrading to PBR/PR. The Premier element (and check) are the same.
