    How are you finding JN Bank? I opened a fixed rate with them before their rate dropped but have not funded it yet. I was not too keen on the look and feel when logged in, seeing loans which I am not interested in as well as savings. If it does the job I can live with it. Just trying to get a bit of confidence to make a deposit to a fixed rate account with a bank I have not used before.
    I've had a few FR bonds with JN Bank in the past and had lots of trouble logging in. I'd never receive the SMS code but that was resolved after quite a bit of effort.

    I just opened a 5 year bond and put a £100 test payment in and after 24 hours it's still not showing on the account. I now can't even log into my account as I'm getting '502 Bad Gateway' error messages.

    I've had it with them and will go somewhere else. They're armatures.

    Email from Chip:

    I hate the way lots of banks are going with this ‘win prizes’ malarkey just give us respectable interest rates. You might just as well go out a buy a lottery ticket.

    I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
    The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
    There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
    I listen all night for your step on the stair.

    Before I commit and fund the Oxbury, 6.01% two year fixed has anyone seen a better rate than this for either a two or three-year fix?

    Not at this point in time, I opened the oxbury 2 year fix at the beginning of the week, and so far, very good, plus their chat service is good if you need to talk to someone.

    When I tried to set them up as a new payee and send a £1 test payment it failed. In the end I had to get my bank to send it over the phone. They could not give me a reason why it had failed. It is not showing on JN Bank and has not bounced back yet, but it is a weekend. Too much of a worry at the moment. I will wait and see if the £1 turns up.

    Presumably this Oxbury 6.01% 2yr fix is not still available (for new customers)?

    No it's not, but you can work around this by opening an EA or notice account with them, and then the FS will be available. I wouldn't linger on this as no idea when it will be pulled.

    Will you pay tax on interest? If so, have you considered an ISA fix at >4.80% (6.0 less BR tax)?

    I've opened and funded Oxbury 1y fixed. Does anyone know if I can add to it within next 14 days or do I need to open new account for each deposit?
