Yes it looks like it changed today. And the 2 yr fix has gone altogether.

Yes - it looks like the existing customer 1 & 2 year bonds at 6.01% have been withdrawn and replaced by an existing customer 1 year bond at 5.80% which, to be fair, is still pretty close to the top 1 year rate currently available.
  • Virgin account holders 1yr fixed cash ISA is looking very good now at 5.85%.
  • FYI - Martin Lewis tweeted last night about rumours of NS&I launching a new bond with a high rate in the Autumn Statement today... now nothing might come of this (we'll find out in a few hours), but thought it worth mentioning.

At least it will probably be easier for them to offer competitive rates now than it was a while back when things were increasing upwards.

I read Hunt will up NS&I savings target by 2.5 billion. So could be some better rates on the way.

We've got some in the NS&I instant access that can go over to a suitable fixed term should they open a decent GIB.

We were keeping it there as we have a tax bill from a business sale to pay in Jan but we've realised we can just release from our premium bonds if other funds don't arrive in time.

How are you finding JN Bank? I opened a fixed rate with them before their rate dropped but have not funded it yet. I was not too keen on the look and feel when logged in, seeing loans which I am not interested in as well as savings. If it does the job I can live with it. Just trying to get a bit of confidence to make a deposit to a fixed rate account with a bank I have not used before.
I have two 2 year fixed rate deposits with them which I opened last year . When I first logged in there were no maturity dates showing online . I sent them a message asking why the maturity dates are not showing . They responded that they were aware of this problem and were looking into correcting it . It’s been a year now and they still haven’t .
  • I applied for the 3 year fixed rate deposit with JN Bank when rate was advertised at 5.9%
They took 4 days to confirm the account was open . Bear in mind I am already an existing customer so no checks needed . When I logged in they have gave me instructions to find the account but at the new lower rate of 5.5%
They didn’t mention that the rate had changed I just noticed it myself . Pretty shabby not honouring the rate applicable on the application date. I have messaged them about this , and to date have had no reply .
