I don't have an issue with loans appearing; if I had a mortgage at a building society that would appear.

It wouldn't be my first choice if rates were equal - I don't like the lack of interest options

My £1 test payment to Gatehouse was returned, At least the payee is set up.
I'll just wait til I have my Atom cash released next week.

Atom are one of the quicker ones, IIRC. They're not a 'Monday to Friday'-type of bank so I'd be surprised if you didn't get it on the Saturday.

Update - I just checked and the last Atom fixed saver I held matured on a Saturday (earlier this year) and the funds got paid into my Atom Instant Saver account on the same day. Payments in and out of Atom accounts tend to be instant, so I would imagine the same will apply if you're getting it paid away... at least if the receiving bank also operates on a Saturday, of course.

Does JN Bank accept a small test payment to a newly setup fixed account?

I seem to recall they are pretty quick for transfers, which is why I liked the app, though my previous  annual fix with them matured on a Weds in May 2022 , so can't confirm release speed, and was at the princely rate of 0.85%-
    How times change!

If you are existing customers of DF Capital, you can open one year fixed or 18 months fixed at 5.95% by logging in their online banking services and choosing "Apply" from there.

Thanks. Just opened one. Pretty annoying that I can’t fund it from an existing DF Capital easy access savings account though so I will need to withdraw the money first and then transfer it back in over a number of days (my linked current account has a 25k daily transfer limit), or email them to change the linked bank account.

My 1year FR with Atom matured 16th & funds were in my Atom Instant Saver by 07.30 and FR closed. They email about 2 weeks in advance, and again 3 days before maturity with various options so you can tell them what you want to happen.

I’ve been out of the loop for a bit… is there anything better out there than the 6.01% 1 year FS from Oxbury? I’m tempted to jump in before it could vanish.
