How can you be an existing Nationwide customer with a non-Nationwide account?
There are many examples, even if you don't have multiple current accounts with different providers (I have three). Perhaps you just have a Nationwide mortgage or credit card, or maybe they hold your joint account but not your personal one, or a savings account, isa, etc.
I have a Nationwide mortgage and have tried several times to work out this process, open a FlexDirect account and get the £125, switching from my Halifax account. but the website sends me round in circles! I phoned customer services and said they are not going to attract customers easily this way. I do want the £125 though but I don't want to switch and then find I've done it wrong and won't get the bonus. When I go to open a Flex Direct account and switch my Halifax to it, there is no mention of the bonus. I'm not sure whether I should be logged in to my Nationwide online banking, but that way it tells me I'm not eligible. It's a mystery.
  • Look on the bright side,me and all the Yorkshire BS cash transactor account holders are getting zero from any new account.
I have a deep burning indifference

Which website sends you rounds in circles, and what exactly does sending round in circles mean in your case?

The offer is totally and utterly clear - you have to switch an account if you want a switch bonus, and the eligibility criteria are abundantly clear. As you can see from the dedicated Nationwide switch offer thread, which as been going since last August, countless people have received their bonus because they met the eligibility criteria. If there was an issue of underpayment or non-payment, it was resolved, according to the eligibility criteria.

Note that you do not have to switch your main account - a donor account with 2 small DDs is perfectly good. Donor accounts for switching have been discussed on this forum for a long time.

If you are 100% certain that you are eligible for the Nationwide offer, according to the offer T&Cs, and you are still hitting a brick wall, can I suggest you post the exact problem in the above thread. Someone there will be no doubt be able to help you progress, or worst case make you understand why you aren't actually eligible.
