guns * or maybe after this it should be gins, lol0

The term ''switching in'' doesn't appear on the section i read, and that's why that section should be removed0

Are you seriously saying that you read the line "Important! You need to switch from a non-Nationwide account" and thought "that must mean you don't need to switch from a non-Nationwide account"?emmajones1976 said:I think I will agree to disagree with you all.
That's beyond incomprehensible for a competent, literate adult (of which I'm sure you are).6 -
It's been a fun read this one!638502813 said:Clearly some agree with me, but many don't. I'm sticking to my gins - why would this site offer to be helpful and explain something that can never happen? Nobody will get the £125 so It's irrelevant and should not have been put here.
You quite clearly can get the £125 if you are a Nationwide customer and you switch your NON-NATIONWIDE account to them.
1. If you are NOT a Nationwide customer and you switch your NON-Nationwide account in then you get £100.
2. If you ARE a Nationwide customer and you switch your NON-Nationwide account in then you get £125.
3. You can meet the requirements of 2 by first opening a Nationwide account and waiting for it to become active.

I didn't read any part of the info except the bit about how non members can get £125 and how to do it. Also, I went on what Martin Lewis said on TV.

So now I closed my Nationwide account. Opened one with virgin and will wait a few days then switch to Nationwide. I now realise (too late but I was angry!) that I should have moved the money to a non current account with Nationwide. I will now only get £100... unless they refuse cos I keep opening and closing accounts. I have never received any bonus for joining Nationwide so this might work in my favour, we'll see....

And there is your problem. Always best to read the full terms of anything like this, or at very least, the full details of an article on a website. Cherry-picking just the bit that suits you, without context, will leave you out of pocket - although thankfully on time only in this case.638502813 said:I didn't read any part of the info except the bit about how non members can get £125 and how to do it. And yes - lots of people (who HAVE read the full details) have managed to get the £125 - the thread on the banking board on here tells you that!)
*edit* FYI you can edit a post by clicking on the "cog" to the top right of your post you want to edit and choosing the "edit" option. But yes, gin is usually good...

Absolutely 100% untrue. I got the £125 and anyone who meets the criteria will get it too.638502813 said:Clearly some agree with me, but many don't. It might have helped if you actually read the requirements. No need to close the account and not sure why you think it's only £100. Just switch your Virgin one to Nationwide and you get £125. Easy peasy!638502813 said:So now I closed my Nationwide account. Opened one with virgin and will wait a few days then switch to Nationwide. Just for the record: I followed the instructions and did get the £125.

I'd refer you to a comment made to another wannabe 'internal switcher' who also felt that watching TV was an adequate alternative to checking offer terms!638502813 said:And Martin Lewis also said on his TV show that there's a trick for anyone to get the bonus? I don't read full terms and conditions, i just see an ''expert'' on TV telling me what i assume are the facts.
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/78942769/#Comment_78942769Don't seek detailed product terms from a TV programme that spends a few seconds giving highly summarised bullet points then!4
