ASB.. I don't live in a world with news so have no clue what has been reported (I didn't know about 9/11 until the 15th!) Fortunately for me, I am not a worrier.. life is as life does and we will be ok eventually. The human race is amazing at adapting and working out problems and I have every faith in us sticking together and everything will work out.. ((hugs)) Pooling resources and sharing just s you've done with the eggs is a great step forward.. Do you have the option of a 'farm table'? I know a few people here who sell eggs and little plants and allotment grown fruit and veg surplus to their needs to supplement their income.. They added a portable community library for a while, it's all very cute.. just an idea. xx
I've spent the day knitting.. OH has swapped his Sunday shift to Friday so he has every weekend with us..

Pigpen I think there is a lot to be said for staying away from the news and I am glad Dot has got the Blue Badge, it will be a help for you too if you are struggling with pain x
Feeling OK this morning but like a lot of other people worried about the rising costs of everything, especially as DH is currently not working. Thankful that we have my job which brings in a decent wage, we will just have to cut back even more.
Yoga done, coffee next, then on with the paid stuff. WFH today so I dont need to make myself look too presentable and I dont need to leave the house (but I will try and get a walk in later). Washing is ready to hang out if the forecast is right and its dry and blowy.
Have a good Friday all x10 -
Morning everyone,
Sorry to hear so many are struggling, especially after the governments latest antics. Some things I don't miss from the UK! Although not sure what will happen here as we have Presidential elections in the Spring.
Got our bedroom looking a bit better yesterday, OH also did one of the jobs on the list. He's right that he can do 5 minute jobs in his coffee breaks when he's WFH but he's so involved in work that he doesn't think of what needs doing, so we've got a list now of mini tasks and I ask him to do one, then when that's done the next etc. It seems strange to do it like that when at work he is a senior director in a large industrial company managing dozens of things at the same time.
Bins went out extra full last night, if I see the bin men I will try taking another bag or 2 out to them
DW on (thanks OH)
Banking & spreadsheets checked
Bed made, clothes picked up
Today is about clearing the storage units & shelves we're taking to DD2 tomorrow. It's going to be a long drive, 700 km each way with the trailer! Will stop overnight at the other house on the way back. Shopping yesterday included stuff for picnic breakfast and lunch, so hopefully it will be a cheap weekend.
Coffee & toast next, will WU whilst the kettle boils12 -
MorningI have come to the conclusion that everyone should claim all benefits they are entitled to, all this knocking £150 off here, loans for £200 to be paid back over 4 or 5 years there, a loan I don't want, I don't really know how it all works, so I am going to see what if any benefits I can get. I have a feeling not a lot, as I will be the wrong age, own the house, have a little and I do mean a little savings etc. Also I will be looking at doing surveys, car booting again when it starts up, but not a lot left to sell, may go through my jewellery and see if there is any I can sell / want to sell, as long term I don't have anyone to leave it to, may even get a part time job.Cats are sortedBins doneKitchen doneToast eatenGot to post 2 parcels / get small shopIt is raining and looks like it is in for the dayBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

I do too.. BUT there are circumstances where it doesn't make sense. If I claim the carers allowance for Dot we are eligible for (I don't ever feel entitled is the right word but we all know I'm odd) they will take most of it off the tax credits and then want to give some of it to CF for Tiddles who hasn't lived with him for 3 years.. OH works more than 36 hours so cannot claim it.. I could have Meem claim it but I don't know if that would change her UC.. it's all a bloody great mess.
Company who are allegeedly doing legit work for an unknown person for unknown reasons are currently digging up the footpath Mr Bull style right outside my house... no one even knows what or who they are woking for.. not even the councillor!! Half the cats are terrified, a couple are super nosey and watching and Noz is asleep.
We have Lionel again this afternoon while DD1 has her counselling so I am leaving him with Meem while I go pick up the bigger twits and DD1 is seeing if she can swap to an earlier time from now on because she was 17 minutes late for Jazzles last week.. we haven't decided yet if I am getting Jazzles and she is getting the bigger ones who are 2 bus stops closer to where she is and finish 15 minutes later.. we will decide that last minute because thats how we roll.
I do need to whizz over the front room so he cannot menace in things and find a box of toys for him.

Knock Knock can I come in? I was in this thread for a while then went and had a baby ... then came back for a bit then had another baby! Now both are at school i'm back again LOL. First job for me is actually manage my routines and to declutter the place! Been giving away, selling and throwin stuff all year so far. (Make that sound like lots lol) and i've managed to make £97.50 (inclusive of chicken egg sales as we now have chickens!)

Just sorted through all the cleaning products we had to clear out of the undersink cupboard. SO many cleaning products and such a dirty house!
Stuff all sorted for DD2, just need OH to load it all in the trailer and to try and roll the mattress so it fits in the car.
Pigpen, I feel your grief, NO TEA is NOT ACCEPTABLE!
