I did it! I cleaned the windows! Outside on the street with a big pole in the wind looking and feeling ridiculous. Inside was much easier. I have huge sash windows and they now look so much better.
I admit I might have put it off again if not for the ex in-laws popping in next weekend 😂
Anyway, 🐸✅
Thanks Fayolle
Now, the usual jobs. Have a good day all x

I hope Dot has settled down a bit.Shower room sparkled. New actor-type lodger due to arrive tomorrow so I've checked the radiator is working in that bedroom, and I'll spit and polish all the rest that needs doing tomorrow. Having the rest of the day off today.Better is good enough.9

Did the usual tidy round this morning
Tried out the tester pots and made a decision on paint for the HSL (basically sticking to a fractionally darker shade of the same colour, as it has to go on the landing ceiling also, which is too high, and the stairs are too steep, to bother with cutting in)
Went to CS with the unwanted DVDs, so no turning back now for DH
Had my hooves trimmed by the farrier (ie podiatrist) and feel much more comfortable
Emptied the overflowing kitchen bins
Sorted out the shelf of mainly SW cookbooks and the junk baskets next to them, and started another pile to go to a different CS - our local one was happy to accept the DVDs but isn't taking any books atm
Snuggled under the blanket most of the afternoon
Offered Rosie a walk, and she went out in the garden - but when she realised that someone over on the fields was doing shooting practice, she ran straight back in and hid in the dark corner of DH's mancave. She's now come up to the study and curled up next to me. It's cold and wet so I don't mind not going out!
Not a lot, but small steps for the weekend.

Sorry I went missing. Bedtime has been around 8.30pm this week. I have a new colleague so I’m no longer the new girl. Getting up at 5.15 and learning new things has taken its toll. Towels washed and also ds2’s mattress cover as home have turned most of his washing grey shrivelled mess. He has had a capacity assessment and they have decided he can’t choose where to live 😕
I got the car washed on the way home from the dance studio. It won’t stay clean for long due to the road works outside. The car wash charged me for a medium car when usually it is classed as small. They have almost doubled their prices and it wasn’t a very good job. We usually wash it ourselves but we can’t park near home at the moment.
It is desperate for a hoover inside but same problem as above and I wasn’t paying £25 for that.
I rang the estate agents for an update but no one rang me back.
Rang gas work company with my complaints, hopefully something may be done.

Well today has been a blast..
Dot was horrific.. and up WAAAAAAAAAAAAY too early.. She wouldn't get ready for ballet then she did and had a great time.. then she zipped off in Tesco every 3 seconds and made up over our alloted 2hours by 1 minute.. Hopefully we will have the blue badge by next weekend because I can't cope.. she hung up the hand rail on the escalator and would not get off.. she is much too heavy for me to bodily move her and OH has run ahead to scan the ticket.. So we got back late from there.. I threw lunch together and got Miss Squizz ready to go home while he sorted them into clothes and swimmies.. O..M..G.. that man dithers like he is 87.. Ye gods help us when he actually IS 87!!! anyway we got to swimming late and the class had started.. Squeaks instructor was off and the new one was excellent but a shock to Squeak so she vista'd and refused to get in the pool.. then refused to take part because she was spoken too.. then she 'couldn't swim'... and the last 5 minutes she sorted herself out and did really well.. after the drama of the first 15 minutes the instructor was all 'what just happened?' lol.. OH took Miss Squizz home and picked up my Next parcels.. We have had 3 meltdowns since we got home.. I am so very very done!DW been onWM been onTD been on
I need to clear the airer and refill it.
I am finishing the body of this 4th cardigan and heading to my nest.. totally done with today.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)9 -

Oooh don't talk about inlaws. My mil is coming over half term to stay. And she is a right old witch! I don't bother cleaning for her to come as when I used to do that she would clean the whole house from top to bottom redoing everything I had arleady done! So say I was fuming was an understatement!

WAC Club member here. I've been missing because I've caught the plague and feel totally shocking. I'm currently sat up in bed trying to breathe quietly as not to wake DH (he has sleep apnoea so wears a nozzle and therefore feels invincible to catching Covid from me at night)
Read through and caught up with the news, so waves of welcome, hugs and spoons where required. I'll pop back on later to keep in the loop x10
