We haven’t test drove it but as some posters gave mentioned the ride is harsh and we prefer something smooth and comfortable and there is now a chance that we may not buy this car and return instead coupled with realising that the running costs seem a bit far fetched and the car seems obnoxiously loud when the salesman started it up which my girlfriend wasn’t too impressed by.

My girlfriend still really seems to like the look of it but we have agreed that we will go for a good test drive first to see how this car drives. If it is harsh riding, loud and quite frankly dangerous it isn’t the car for us

You said two pages back you'd already bought and paid for it?

You bought and paid for a car you havent driven?  Or you havent driven it because you havent bought it?

Your memory seems very Dark on this Matter?

I have already paid for the car and signed the finance agreement and will be collecting next week from the main dealer.

  • I have a great deal of difficulty believing in the credibility  of the above post.  After all, who would not do some sort of research of such a car before going to even view it, let alone go into a finance package for it?

In the small chance that it is genuine, please step away.  Inferior tyres, less than ideal fuel are going to defeat the point of getting the car especially if you are going to risk a cancellation of insurance by driving the car how it can be driven even within the law.

Don't do a Nike.  Just DON'T  do it.

Excuse me but who are you to say what I can or can’t afford? Both my partner and I work so we think we deserve something nice to drive.

You're allegedly about to drop nearly 40k on a high performance car and you want to know if you can get away with budget tyres and half-arsed servicing? You cannot afford this car.

This car that you said that you’d recently bought, but that you now say you haven’t bought yet?

I remember when we moved into our house one of the neighbours was telling me that the ride on his Ferrari was too firm making the car uncomfortable. I told him he should have got a Metro like mine with hydrolastic suspension. And he would have got four seats. He wasn't impressed.

I have paid the deposit but the finance and car (and desposti) is totally refundable if I change my mind before driving away with the car or this is what I’m being told by the BMW main dealer.

We current have a 2016 Audi A3 with quite a bit left to pay off so we just want something newer and nicer.

So you haven't actually bought it then as you first stated. You seem to be making things up as you go along.

    This thread is pure fantasy.

If it’s quite frankly dangerous, then it’s probably not the car for anyone,
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

That's exactly what the car is - it's a high performance road legal track car. It's really intended for rich people to drive to track days or show off. It's fast and great on a track but will be awful for daily road use.

If you want a car that looks like it, then go and buy a regular 4 series with the M kit. It'll be about half the purchase price, half the running costs and be much nicer to drive.

I wouldn't even dream of having one with a black box fitted, because there's no point having a 400bhp car and driving like a granny.
