According to images speedo was stuck at 70mph/rev counter at 5,500rpm
It would surprise me greatly if that happened as there is an electronic link to the car not a physical cable driven one.

I see from other pictures its an M140i.  I'd say he was doing a lot more than 70MPH when he hit something in that.  Ours is built like a tank.

Silly speed to be driving at in a built up area.

Not sure on the technology/connection but this was the pic in the auction

    Wow.  Interesting!

    I'm surprised greatly!  :D

Finally have my car, paid insurance, and just did a full tank of V-power. Happy to do a custard test, or the like to satisfy users here that this is my car.

Excellent, make sure the piece of paper is on the car windscreen, I know kids get taught a lot of editing at school these days.

So, you "finally have the car today at 1:30 in the morning.
I thought you posted a thread a week or so back "Finally taken delivery..."
Then, it was to be collected during the middle of last week.
So, have you got two new cars?  Or three?

It was good of the Dealer to be open in the middle of the night for this latest one - have they all got a broken splitter and cheap tyres?

Indeed yes.  Just like it was good of them to open in the middle of the night to renegotiate the contract and finance agreement that he'd signed with him and to give him stuff for free.  They seem to have a 24x7 operation.

They went the extra mile to get rid of the unsightly car with the knackered splitter.

You never thought to get a photo of it at the time?

How is it to drive? Horrendously bumpy?

I always thought custard goes "lumpy" rather than "bumpy".  Such is the joy of language that the same thing can be described in different ways.
