Yeah post it now so we can see it again on Wednesday. Come to think of it let's see the other pics you've taken and the advert selling the car.utopia55 said:

They have removed the car from the main dealer website as I have put down a deposit.DB1904 said:

Yes of course they have, so what's the excuse for not posting the pics you took?utopia55 said:

A warranty will not reduce maintenance costs in any way. Indeed, it is most common that a requirement of the warranty is that the vehicle is fully serviced and evidenced as maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's recommended schedule and if that has not been done then the warranty can avoid covering a fault that might otherwise have been covered. Giving a choice between paying for a warranty or paying for maintenance, the maintenance would be my first choice as prevention is better than cure.utopia55 said:I do know what a warranty is it'll cover me for all repairs if something breaks so should reduce maintenance costs2 -
I'm surprised the BMW main dealer didnt repair the gash in the front splitter (whether non standard or not it was on their forecourt and they would have a contact to repair stuff like this), yet were happily throwing in "free" paint and interior protections....0

This is going to sound even more condescending. But when you read the T/C of the warranty. You will find that it DOES NOT cover ALL REPAIRS. As well as meaning that you have to use either BMW or VAT registered garage who will have to list ALL items used & these have to be OEM quality..utopia55 said:

Do you understand what the warranty is & what it covers?utopia55 said:Change of tune, a friend of my partner has said the M4 is fairly comfortable so my partner and I, have decided to make the compromise in ride quality and added insurance/maintenance costs for the sake of looks.
BMW extended warranty can be had for £1800 if we decided to keep the car for more than a year but seems overly expensive. Been looking around at third party warranty which comes out significantly cheaper and will cover all repairs so seems viable financially. Instructed the dealer to carry out their BMW Protect X paint protection and interior protection package so all ready for collection this week.
So despite you prostrations that it was only a refundable deposit. If you did not like the car after a test drive. You have instructed dealer to spend money on the package... 🤣
So you may find to keep the warranty intact it will cost you even more.

They'll almost never do that. If you put down a deposit it'll be shown as reserved. But I thought you'd signed the finance paperwork, which would have it removed? If it's a main dealer, I'm kind of surprised they didn't replace the broken splitter with a standard part, it'd sell for a lot more that way. I can understand them not repairing a 3rd party part, but main dealers very rarely sell anything that's got broken bits.0 -
Yes a main BMW dealer with something as premium as an M4 Comp and selling it with a repairable / replaceable gashed front splitter. It doesnt stack up.Herzlos said:utopia55 said:
