I survived. Called at Mr C00p on the way home as planned. Put the shopping away and then put my nightie on. Couldn't be bothered to get changed and then get ready for bed later....I will deal with the junk mail that came through the door and that's me done for the day.
Hugs

Orange jelly marmalade made and has set beautifully. I have put away dried, ironed stuff, ironed some more stuff, taken the aged Ps out to lunch - they chose fish and chips and were delighted with it so all good. Have washed my car and DD and I have been to Lidl. While washing car spoke to NDN and was going to fuss her dogs but she said not to as her hubby (paramedic) and daughter (care home worker) have the lurgy. Glad she told me because DD and I have both been pinged (so I can assume they've had their PCR results now...) Clearly the NHS app can't distinguish between houses...anyway we aren't required to isolate as we are both fully vaccinated so no issues there.

Valli.. you don't need PCR's any more. a positive lateral flow is enough in most circumstances. only 2 in here bothered with PCR's and then the hospital did one for Boog during the hospital stay. You also tell them yourself who you have been in contact with so if you have feel particularly vindictive you can add the people you work with you dislike or hated exes or psycho friends or besties just for fun. I have now blocked the texts from the nhs people.. so sick of their harassment.. I can count up to 10 and do not need 16 daily reminders thank you very much.
DW been run again.
School rang to tell me if the girls were negative now they could go back to school.. fully aware of the 'rules' thank you and I don't feel up to school runs so I don't care if they are negative or not.
I ate food.. junk food but it was food..

Hi ladies - thanks for all the good wishes re: DH's auntie. Uncle is still hanging in there, but it's not looking great for him either. Sad thing is, their youngest son and partner are anti-vaxxers who refuse to believe Covid has been a contributing factor and are now talking about hospital incompetence... Hubby is being very good and not reacting to their calls to arms.
I've done zero flying today. There, I have confessed.
I've now got a very large G&T, a log fire, my puppers cuddled up on the sofa, small beans in bed and a night off from work! Yippee! I am enjoying working, but it's been a long slog since New Year with people being off with Covid, so a night off is very welcome. I'm planning my kitchen garden planting as I had a metric tonne of compost delivered last week, so need to get that out and the front garden area tidied and ready to go. It is an area pretty much enclosed on all sides with stone walls/brick house front, so is sheltered (but not a truly traditional courtyard set up) but I've got a gazebo thingy I can pop up and move around to different areas if it decides to rain. Today it was -3° when I got in at 7.30am, but the sun broke through after lunch and defrosted the fennel fronds and DH mowed the paths for me last week, so I need to crack on.
Very jealous of the piggies expected at ASB Cottage...I really want some Large Black weaners this year but not sure I've got the time for them. We are cutting down the chicken numbers this year (1000 was a frightening number to feed) and the sheep went for slaughter last week, so I've been butchering and playing freezer tetris over the weekend. I will be self-sufficient in food this year! I'd love to hear piggy updates ASB x
Marmalade sounds delish Valli - I'm planning on preserving some of our harvest this year, although citrus fruits aren't on my to grow list. Maybe when I get my polytunnel/crub...
Big hugs to all xxx10 -
roundtuit said:elbree - the bus would have been passing to the north of you, so absolutely no problem to make a slight detour and pick you up.
(Don't worry it's not a RL bus. I don't want you to think that a horde of flyladies complete with dogs and goats are about to descend on you. 🤣)
I feel that I've achieved quite a bit this week. I can certainly see where I've MAD. The curtains didn't get put up, but I'm on top of the todailies and swallowed a couple of frogs....so my flylady halo is straight. Now to keep it straight and add paid stuff to the mix.
Good night and sweet dreams

Currently listening to a fireworks display coming from the seafront, god knows who's setting them off 🙄😂.

I really need a shower.. I wonder if I would have energy to go to the post office tomorrow if I have had a shower.. I have no energy at all.
I am hoping to get the fronts of Lionels cardigan finished tonight.. I need to do sleeves.. Sleeves are not my favourite thing. Once I've done this I have a couple of baby cardigans to do.

Morning all xx
Well, despite several hours in the WAC, here I am: up, dressed, made my bed, packed my lunch, eaten breakfast, supping my brew. And looking like I'm ready for another day at pit face. Go me.
I will feed the birds and put out the recycling before I venture forth.
Have a good day, y'all hear ❤

Your fantastic Round, as are the rest of you on here.
Yesterday afternoon & evening was not very productive. OH not feeling well, autotest negative but I eventually persuaded him that it would be better to cancel face to face interview for today and work from home. Turned all alarm clocks off before we went to bed early and it seems to have done the trick. He's much better today. Chasing phone call I had put off until yesterday was eventually done (when I knew they wouldn't answer so I could just leave a message rather than have to talk to them) but result was I have the info I need by email and have already actioned it this morning.
Bed stripped, in WM, room aired
DW on
Lunch sorted (left over soup from yesterday)
Banking & spreadsheets checked and updated
Dentist paid yesterday and refund request done immediately to insurance
Better go and keep pottering in the library12 -
Didn't get to the library but 2 toilets and 2 wash basins cleaned. Not perfect but definitely better and as I keep trying to remind myself better is good.
OH just put the kettle on and then took a call so I've made coffee and will join him once he's done.
Quote to have garden sorted printed and signed, they're coming next week. That means that I will have a dead line to get the inside of the house cleaned up. Nothing like a kick up the ****.
