Pigpen the GP has said he has been really lucky to get this appointment as most people are waiting around 7-9 months. The GP has given him a sick note for a month so he should be able to get Employment and Support Allowance, he rang up and made a claim today.
Tired and stressed but got the paid stuff done. Nut roast mash and veg for tea, clean washing put away. Need to get out and get some fresh air tomorrow. Also need to get the hoover.out and do a bit of flying but tomorrow is another day.11 -
@YORKSHIRELASS sorry to hear your DH is poorly. I hope he gets treatment soon. Just LF 8yo and she's positive, inevitable as half her class have it. Luckily I already had it before Xmas so unlikely to get unwell again. Only managed dailies again, looking forward to the weekend so I can potter round at home and see where I've been!10

YL, In my experience GP's have absolutely no idea about wait times.. but ring and ask.. the worst they can say is no but they might have a cancellation come up at really short notice we have had a few appointments moved forward this way... you never know! It is definitely worth a try.
I found a tub of Heroes I am decluttering. nom..
OH and I have decided we are waiting until Monday to send the girls back to school. 2 of the 3 are still testing positive and we do not want to get up at 7:30 for one child.

SMILE it's Friday!
It's been a long week or even month so far.
Bed made, clothes picked up and room aired
Recycling bin brought back in
WM on
Banking & spreadsheets checked and updated
We're going to the other house this evening, picking DD1 up on the way and meeting DD2 there so looking forward to a weekend with them both then DD1 is back here with us a a few days off. So I need to do the ironing, pack a few bits and have a tidy round.
Good music on the radio so I'm off to get going11 -
Morning all xx
Woot woot it's Friday. It's been a very long week. Very long. Very very long. 🤣
And yesterday WW3 started brewing between two colleagues thanks to stirring by a third. Atmosphere. Knife. No wonder I prefer budgies to people.
I'm not in the same office at the moment so I'm hoping it will all be ironed out before I move in there- in a couple of weeks time. Or I'm not moving - simple as!!!!
Looking forward to the weekend and resumption of flying /decluttering. In the meantime my bed is made, I'm ready for work, and I'll feed the birds and put out the recycling before I tootle off.
Love to you all ❤ - that bus ride is soooo tempting right now 🤣

Just dumped my nail tech.. hmm... I hate finding someone new.. She wasn't horrid but she wanted to take the full overlay off every 6 weeks which kills my nails.. they salon also introduced hair dressers about 4 weeks ago and they were initially in another room but they have moved to the main salon and I cannot have people behind me.. it makes me very twitchy.. so I am not going back there..
I need to fling an ebeasty parcel.. I will sort that shortly.
I feel most weird today.. my face feels like I am gettnig a migraine but I don't have any of the vision wigglers just a numb face.. and my neck is killing me (neuralgia, nothing serious)
I have swimming and dance stuff to sort for tomorrow.. and school stuff for Monday.. I might dress a couple of girls actually and pootle down to the shoe shop.. save doing it tomorrow

Hi ladies
A very quick one from me before I head out, I haven’t read back but wanted your opinion please.
DS is 7, and recently has become quite committed to what he calls his ‘challenges’. These are things he invents himself, from something as simple as not stepping on the cracks whilst walking to saying the alphabet backwards out loud before he goes to bed. He was embarrassed last night as I walked into the room when he was doing one of his maths ones out loud, I explained he didn’t need to be embarrassed and if he enjoys doing them then that’s fine. He says that he does them at school sometimes in his head when he wants to play alone.
I just wanted some input as to whether this is, and I hate this word, ‘normal’ behaviour for a young boy. I’m not worried at all, I just want to discuss it with someone who I know won’t judge or patronise. So naturally you guys were the choice xx

ASB.. that is perfectly normal behaviour in my house.. We recite the alphabet backwards (and count in french and sometimes resort to german as an additional challenge) as a way of focusing and calming Dot. it stops the erratic behaviour for her (or intrusive thoughts for me) and is really good for Dot. I count.. up to 20, repeatedly too. I think it is a perfectly normal thing to do in all honesty, especially the cracks.. if I accidentally stepped on a crack I could then only walk on cracks until I accidentally missed a crack.. I was fun to walk with! Unless he is struggling with other aspects of socialisation or education I wouldn't be concerned unless it starts to impact on his normal activities.

Hi, ASB. it sounds like you're handling this well. None of my five can be described as "normal", all are somewhere on the autism/Aspergers spectrum. They have however all grown up to be functioning, independent, working adults. The world would be boring without diversity. Keep up the good job.
Not much flying here. Spent the first two days of the week with vertigo, unable to move without vomiting! Better now, but behind on everything. The man with the big chainsaw has been, the rest of the wood, (that was too big for OH's 14" one). We've moved all the ones we can onto pallets. Some are too heavy. they'll need cutting again.
