Morning all,
Well done, Round, on the amazing weight loss. I’m with elbree - I seem unable to lay off the Christmas chocolate, and I don’t even really “do” chocolate in a big way ☹️. Not standing on my scales (which are obviously broken, by the way 😉), as I don’t like big numbers.
Busy week at work, so it looks like I might be back to playing catch up this weekend, if I cba. I might drag DH for a walk to find the allotment, as he doesn’t really get out at all these days, and the fresh air will do us both good. I also have 2 bags of seville oranges, so one day will have to be Marmalade Day.
First cuppa slurped, breakfast had, wm on. I had better get dressed, I suppose.
Have a lovely day all xx11 -
Frost here as well, but the sun is breaking through, need to put some bulbs back in to the ground that seem to have been dug up by something.Need to buy some bread.Otherwise not a lot going on here.Stay warm and safeBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Ok, so I braved it, and now I know exactly where Round is sending her unwanted lbs 😳. The trouble with being of goliath build is that I can hide the odd..err stone….or so… **sigh**. Exercise is the answer, I know, but motivation is zilch.
“Found” the ironing pile. Remaining bits put away from the late Mr M shop in the week, so now it is HHI. That’s exercise, right?10 -

I've filed the rent statement and removed any pertaining to y/e 31.3.21 - to be shredded. I've filed the Gift Aid labels that arrived this week. The rest of the post was dealt with as it arrived.
Having a coffee and going to read a couple of chapters of my book before I attack that shelf. Rereading Black Beauty before it goes to the cs.

Morning all
Thank you again for your support yesterday xxx
Started my day in a gloomy fashion reading about the cost of living going sky high due to energy costs and spiralling food costs, alongside tax hikes etc. Frugal preparation will have to step up a notch here I think.
Jack Monroe (Bootstrap Cook) has taken to Twitter with some enlightening information about how price rises are impacting those with less to spend.
Marking homework and setting more. Been asked to do a 4 day week next week. Have assessments to mark too.
Washing on the line so that's a plus.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear9 -
Thanks Valli - I saw those comments too.
I will be stocking up on pasta and rice in Aldi whilst the price remains low. The hike in other stores is remarkable.
Mum and her partner came round, and basically bickered the whole time. How pleasant for our Saturday morning! DS is playing out, DD is colouring. I’ve chopped wood and now chilling with the dog and my book. HM shepherds pie from the freezer for tea xx

Hi all
Fayolle I know exactly what you mean about the chocolate, I am not that fussed about chocolate usually but since Christmas I have been craving sweet stuff on a night and its just become a habit.
ASB we are seeing price rises too, its quite worrying, and I think its going to get worse.
Hoovered and dusted right through, puzzled over my finance spreadsheets, been for a short walk with DH in the sunshine and spotted bullfinches though his binoculars. All clean washing put away and fire cleaned out and ready to light again. Cant believe its nearly 4pm, where did Saturday go?11 -
I'm sorry your OH is under the weather YL. I hope he gets some answers from his consultation.Very little time or energy for Flying this week, so I've caught up today by doing 35 minutes - 25 for this week and 10 to cover Monday and Tuesday next week. Bathroom cleaned, bed changed, stairs vacuumed, and 5 minute pick ups done in the dining room, sitting room and kitchen. Two loads through the WM, the last of the last load of laundry folded and put away. I know I dusted somewhere too but I can't remember where. The house looks a lot better. And I took a five week booking which will help with the £££s. It's all been a bit bleak on the theatre digs side of things for a couple of years for obvious reasons. I've cut the rent because actors and musicians etc really struggled financially because furlough didn't apply to them.Only one space sorted this week - the hat and glove box in the vestibule cupboard. One pair of gloves and a hat set aside for the CS after I've washed them. On Monday I'll sort five more spaces to bring me up to date, even if it's only spaces like my pen pot on my desk. I'm not sure I've ever turned it out.Have had a bath and washed my hair because we're taking an elderly neighbour, who I like, out to an early lunch tomorrow somewhere I think is really special and I'd like the day to pass without the friction of rushing around in the morning.Better is good enough.10

Nap napped.

TD emptied and refilled
Airer emptied and refilled
WM on.. other one waiting for the dryer to finish.
chicken defrosting for casserole tomorrow.
I am incredibly tired and we are considering taking the ggirls out tomorrow but I'm not sure I can stay awake! We were thinking walking boots and a hike but I might acually die.. but we want to take Twinkle to see some sheep.
