Brought the washing in and ironed it/put it to air on a radiator as appropriate (lots of socks). Was almost dry so pleased about that. Have stripped and remade my bed in the hope of being able to get the sheets line dried tomorrow.

One load washing done.
One online conference attended, took most of the day.
Went for a brisk but short walk to get some air and movement after all day sitting at conference.
Read with alarm the ice-breaking antics on the lake this morning; I'd planned to go tomorrow as I missed today.....but ice??
Helped Mr N with finishing painting of trellis to go on side of new patio. Hopefully we can get it in place tomorrow.
Continuing to do decluttering of 'stuff' on computer.
Continued with writing report.
Did small amount of kitchen tidying.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.10 -
Morning all
Happy Sunday. I managed to smash the glass on our woodburner last night - misjudged the size of a log - so that is out of action for now. Grrrrr.
Chickens sorted, children watching TV with a bowl of fruit salad each and I have put the heating on to air the laundry because it’s blooming nippy today.
I hope to declutter some more of my book and a nap today xx

ASB oh no, I hope you weren't hurt by the glass, I hope you can find a cheap replacement.Up early OH has gone motorbiking with a new group of like minded folk, he spoke to 2 of them on the phone, but is not sure they are his sort of people, so he has gone to see what is what, as I pointed out, you are riding most of the time (70 mile route today) so there won't be a lot of time to chat.WM is onI'm off to shower etc.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Morning all,
ASB - I hope you can get the door fixed asap, knowing how much you depend on the wood burner xI have committed to going to a walk with a friend this morning, as we both need the exercise (we used to run together in the days when we both could), and I have to wash the cars, even if it is a cursory wash.
Yesterday’s short trip to the allotment yielded some spinach / chard, a pile of carrots, a few leeks and some kale, so meal planning needs to include all of those. Plus the fridge needs sorting. It’s not that it is particularly full, just messy.
I’m missing not having any knitting on the go, so I might also have to think about what I can usefully do with some of the leftover wool piled in the corner of the spare room.DH still in bed - not like him at all.
Have a lovely day. Hugs, sticks and spoons available as needed x9 -
Morning all xx
I hope you're able to get the wood burner fixed quickly asb xx
Fayolle - I hope DH is ok. It's so grey this morning that bed is probably the best place to be. It's not fully daylight here - very overcast and brooding. Not a breath of wind. Eerie.
