M&S at the motorway services, which is our nearest TGTG. We have tried most days and been successful twice this month. It suggests that they are very good at having the right stock.

We have been in there when there have been plenty of yellow-stickered items and had our TGTG cancelled yet again. I wondered if it was because there were lots of the same item, not much variety.

On the other hand, they did contact us via TGTG recently because they had a surplus and we hadn’t applied.

Has anyone found certain retailers constantly listing Magic Bags, but cancelling orders because they don't have enough stock?. I've tried one (Coffee #1) for 3 days in a row, and each time my order has been cancelled due to lack of stock. Very annoying.
A local Co-Op did this a while ago but seems to have improved now.

Bought a bakery bag from an unrated business this l/t on the spur of the moment - total disappointment.

We did well yesterday, our fourth in a month from our nearest TGTG at M&S at the service station.
£5 for £20.30 at full price.

The assistant said that she did TGTG whenever she could but that some of the staff couldn’t be bothered.

I can see how this might look to be good value, but the only thing I could have had from that Magic Bag is the tonic water. I probably wouldn't have taken the punt for £5 (plus petrol costs to access motorway services), £3.30 is about my limit on those suppliers I know.

There is a service road, so it is local @Rosa_Damascena
I did a Sunday breakfast of scrambled eggs and king prawns.
We had half each of the beef, onion and spinach in mayo roll, for lunch, and pizza for dinner. It was all tasty, DH enjoyed it, it was different from our usual meals. We haven’t had pizza in years.
We have felt the effects of the extra carbs yesterday, feeling hungrier than usual today.
The soda water will be donated.

I think we have finished with TGTG now. It was part of the Lent grocery challenge of £30 a week, and the only thing we didn’t use was a bunch of herbs which was going brown and soggy so went in the compost.

You could donate it to my glass of gin :D

I wouldn't give up on TGTG, if you find a supplier you like. I like the surprise element more than the contents, anything I know I won't eat goes straight onto Olio so nothing gets wasted.

I find this app compulsive, and I am the first to scoff down a good panettone, but new entry to the market is an utter rip-off:

Blimey, it's not something I buy but do people really spend £22.50 on a panettone?  There are Carluccio TGTG bags local to me from a department store so I will have a look out to see if pricing is different. I notice they are now being called surprise bags lol!

I've got a Toby breakfast bag tomorrow, I do like them and always plenty of food although I  add some toast to make it feel like proper full English.

Yes, people do, but primarily as gifts (they come in beautiful boxes).
