That is good going, usually it's just 3 items in a bag! Although the only thing I would have been able to eat from that would have been the croissant.Krakkkers said:Just got a toogoodtogo bag from Costa and very impressed, over £30 worth for £3.

Other TGTG suppliers are far more generous. My fridge was empty of real food yesterday so I bought 2 bags from 2 different supermarkets. That gave me plenty to divi out amongst the family, keeps me in clover all week and I was also able to give items away on Olio. That is what I call an all-round win.

One thing I will say about TGTG supermarket bags is you get a lot of bakery bread, which really needs to be consumed on the day if you don't fancy breaking your teeth on it. In this kind of cold weather it's not even fit for the birds.I turned a load that had been hanging around for a few days into croutons last night, that's my snacking sorted for the next month at least. No man is worth crawling on this earth.

Think the trial was last year, they are rolling it out to all stores. Quite what that means for YS chances we'll have to wait and see.Rosa_Damascena said:Now this is interesting...Aldi is starting to trial Magic Bags.
Will be £3.30 for a bag of £10 value.

You've certainly changed your tune from this time last year when this thread first started, Rosa!Rosa_Damascena said:I can't wait to give it a go, I find these bags fascinating
Back then you said....Rosa_Damascena said:I can see it appealing to a family that enjoys processed foods, is open-minded and organised enough to meal plan.
I've got nothing against a pot-luck meal, but would have to radically change my eating habits to want to sign up to this.3 -
I'm 28 bags in and know different now! Back then it was all takeaway food, the gamechanger for me was supermarkets.p00hsticks said:

I have had mixed results and have found its important to take notice of the ratings.
The Costa at my local railway station is the best so far giving about £30 worth of food for £3.2 -
Definitely! I did a bit of an experiment one evening this week, buying 3 magic bags along the late drive home one evening and comparing them - and they were all true to their ratings. Interestingly, there is considerable variation between different branches of the same business. Most of the stuff then went on Olio,Krakkkers said:I have had mixed results and have found its important to take notice of the ratings.

The biggest bonus for me is the time saved in buying a Magic Bag, the contents keep me going for a few days. I still need to go to the supermarket for the basics but I am in and out without wasting time in aisles. No man is worth crawling on this earth.
