Have just done TGTG twice now, with mixed results. My first was with Morrisons, which was reasonable for the £3 I paid. Two bags of carrots (made loads of carrot + coriander soup from the entire lot), tortilla wraps, yoghurts (good until end of March - bonus!), two punnets of grapes, and some bananas past their best. Would have preferred a little more variety, though. Maybe some bread or sarnies in there.
My second one (tonight) was at a OneStop. A cheese sandwich and tiny pot of grapes. That was it, as they'd ran out of other stuff. I refused that one, and submitted a refund request.
Have many people found themselves shortchanged, because the store is either being stingy, or they've run out of items?
TBH, it's a little hard to plan meals around the entirely random selection you get. Unless, you've chosen a cafe or baked goods company. But, I guess it can work if you're resourceful, and any wastage doesn't eat into the savings you made.

A couple of new places have appeared locally to me including a new Costa, and even better one I can collect at a reasonable time. I’ll let them get reviews first before trying them.:money::rotfl::T0

A wet, cold wet day here. DH had an app message this afternoon reminding him to order his M&S TGTG. He has tried regularly, but it is a busy motorway service station and there have been none available. He has just collected this, worth £20.30 at full price. He was going to make a loaf in the morning.
From this I shall make,
2 portions of Singapore noodles with some of the steamed broccoli and the carrot sticks.
4 portions of soup and a bread roll,
2 toasted rolls with humus.
A tortilla for 2 with potato and broccoli, plus eggs.
Jacket potatoes x 2.
4 portions of fruit salad.
A soup with potato and broccoli sliced stem ends plus onion and bouillon powder.
and still have enough potatoes for a week.

The last Morrisons TGTG bag I got had about 3 boxes of strawberries, 4 of blueberries and about 15 packets of herbs. Nothing could make a meal out of.

Not a meal but a few jars of jam. Bread and jam is a comfort food. Blueberry jam from a large punnet of yellow stickered-blueberries, 34p for the sugar, sterilised, re-used jars. I scraped every last bit from the pan so it is a bit untidy.
The herbs would have been a problem.1 -

Luckily my TGTG experience was redeemed with an Aldi box later that evening. Nearly 100% plant-based, I have plenty to keep me going for over a week.

Has anyone found certain retailers constantly listing Magic Bags, but cancelling orders because they don't have enough stock?. I've tried one (Coffee #1) for 3 days in a row, and each time my order has been cancelled due to lack of stock. Very annoying.2
