You get food ⅓ cheaper as the company is going to chuck it out
    Try it !!
    Thank me later
    You are getting rubbish
Round here most of the offerings are brilliant - and they aren't just 1/3 cheaper, they are actually 1/3 of the original selling price, so 2/3 cheaper eg 6 Krisply Kreme doughnuts, freshly cooked that day, for £4.50 instead of £13.65.

Look for the listings which have a high star rating from other people.
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!

You are both correct. Its down to your discretion where you buy from as to how healthy the food is likely to be. Ie a Yo Sushi bag is likely to be a fresher and healthier option than a Starbucks pastry bag.

I say this as a once-sceptical but now experienced TGTG user!

Although anyone buying from Greggs is well aware it's not going to be the healthiest choice of food!

Has anyone any experience of this organisation?

I bought a bag of goods at a local supermarket and was told it was ready for collection after 8pm. My bank account shows the payment went through OK. I then received a message at 8.30pm to say the deal was cancelled . Does this mean that they sold the goods at normal price and didn't have anything for the 'surprise bag'?

TGTG bags can be cancelled by the store if there isn't sufficient food, in which case the site has an established mechanisms for refunds - you won't have to chase. The scheme is supposed to prevent waste rather than maximise profits, so if there wasn't food that would have to be written off at the end of the day, the scheme is redundant.

There is another TGTG thread on here, mods?

Got an email (late) confirming no surplus food. That's fine now I understand the system.

This is a first attempt by us and we're curious as to what is in the bag so will look again another day.
