Do you guys/girls like the new design cards?

I have to admit I do like the new designs and despite my earlier post I do keep some in my wallet as backup.

Physical debit card is still required to take out cash at ATMs.

Not so. NatWest and Royal Bank of Scotland allows you to withdraw cash simply by generating a code in the banking app on your phone and entering that into a NatWest, RBS or Tesco ATM.
Though as I am with Barclays I still need my card to use an ATM.  I think I would still carry my debit card even if I had a NatWest account in case there wasn’t a NatWest/Tesco/RBS ATM nearby or working.  The ATM at my local Tesco seems to be out of service whenever I want to use it!

Do you mean Chase instead of Chasse? If so it is probably unique in the UK as it has no info at all front or back aside of the cardholder name. You need to check on the App for card number, exp date and CVV.

The new style of many of those cards looks to also affect the orientation of the card design, from horizontal to the larger card side to now the smallest side

I haven't seen anyone else mentioning HSBC but this dropped through my letterbox yesterday. I personally don't like it or any of these style of cards but I guess I'm in a minority.

Barclays already do optional high visibility debit cards which also have the notch cut out, so from an accessibility point of view there is no need to change.

They may decide to update their debit cards if there is any kind of branding change/relaunch with their revamped Barclays blue rewards product.
