Ever since I got a vertical card for Monese, or whichever bank it was, I disliked the traditional horizontal design. I hope I don't lose my HSBC card until the end when they send me a replacement.

Anyways, Chase have no details about you on the card itself, which may be a hassle for some because you need to use the app to find the details. It makes it easier to get new card details though, as they can apparently generate a new one in the app.

My replacement TSB card is the new style and I like it.

I'm pleased to see that Halifax have adopted it as well because I have great difficulty in reading the card number on my existing Clarity card. The sooner I get a replacement the better.

The good thing is you can post an image of the front and not compromise your details
Why would any normal person want to post an image of their card in the first place?

I barely even look at my own card (in fact as I now mainly use Google Pay there's no card to look at) let alone trying to see what anyone else is using.

I think it all goes back to the AmEx ad campaign many years ago.

"Says more about you than cash ever can"

    and

    "American Express?"

"Ah, Yes sir. That'll do nicely"

New (left) vs old (right) Starling card.

The MasterCard logo on the new card has a metallic effect.

Also, Monzo hot coral card is now even brighter.

Amex logo has changed too. The blue background was light blue in the centre, transitioning into darker blue on the edges. Now it's an uniform blue colour.
