A clue bat and wet kipper applied to the back of the head would be a good idea, but that will most certainly get me a ban. So in its place, the first name to be put on my ignore list...Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Doozergirl said:What is a bit upsetting is that I think some people that have disappeared might be neurodivergent and a bit blunt in their nature, with no harm intended.People like PasturesNew who was almost totally isolated in the real world. I think she may have found a home on a forum that sprung up as a result of some
boards here being shut during lockdown, but I forgot the name of it.

I think people sometimes come on here expecting to have their view backed up and get angry when it isn’t. One of the great things about this forum is that you are often given the advise you need to hear rather than what you want to here.It has probably saved me a lot of money and time in the past and helped me to not be too much of a brat when things weren’t going my way.
I an very sorry to see any contributors go - the forum would be very boring if everyone had the same opinions!2 -

Actually, I did realised when it was too late that my post may have sounded horribly patronising. I hope no one (Adrian particularly if he's still reading) was offended. I only really meant that for many people, forums are a bit of a lifeline and banning a regular poster can be detrimental to their health especially if they're unable to get out & about much.

Hopefully he just found something more interesting to do.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
