Interesting about special considerations. I didn't ask because she's in year ten.
Gnat west have LOST UG's paperwork. She makes me laugh though, she told the cashier that when her sponsor threw her out (knowing we wouldn't, obv) that she was moving in with them.

Alchemilla - for your DD - if she's the one with ASD she potentially qualifies for extra time, a quiet room, possibly ear defenders etc when doing exams.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Y10 or not DD is doing public exams, yes? - in which case spec cons can be applied for - DH has only just finished chemo so counts as a recent serious illness for a close family member. Won't be the 5% bit, and is not guaranteed - but school can still apply to the awarding bodies.
25% ET rules changed this year with regards to a lot of students (mainly speed of handwriting etc) but medical reasons for students if backed up by a consultant's letter with a confirmed diagnosis of a condition/ need (or similar - but not gP) stating she needs ET, quiet room etc are usually a quick agreement - if she is due these and hasn't got them in place for now get the Senco on it ASAP so that they are normal way of working ASAP and signed off by the ABs for the next academic year and then she should have it in place for all internal assessments too x It will need re-applying for from the ABs for a levels when/ if she goes that route - but medical ones aren't usually an issue.I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £205 -
Probably a slightly odd angle, but check that she wants it. My eldest DS school applied for extra time for him without telling us or him, he seethed with resentment and sulked through his gcse English exam. He downed pen and refused to write any more.Yes he is clearly not adopted. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

DD in practice used extra time for some types of exams - but yes like @redofromstart didn't want to prolong the torture in others and just wanted to get out of there.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

RBs and ET (and any access arrangement) can be subject specific, so not always awarded across the whole curriculum. And RBs are candidate led, so would often not be used in all subjects (unless a physical need from a injury/ physical condition - or someone using them for tactical reasons.... 🙄)
ET - I find some candidates use it across the board. Others never use it and would like it taken away (parents would usually object) Most use some of it some of the time.I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £206 -
Thanks all. Great suggestions. School have been great at offering but as redo nailed it actually, she wants none of it.
Being in a quiet room she finds distracting, she hates to be different. Green T I think you're right about spec cons, thanks.
So UG (as Ed rightly guessed) had a call on Tues. Her ex hb she was on good terms with and father of her child was killed in the war. It was going to happen to someone and I expect it will happen to more people but it's so dreadful.7
