I am awake in the wee small hours but feeling ok.
Our younger guest is finding his feet, he'd a plan to have the day off school today by faking illness. He was thwarted by his Mum!
Today we really have to get to grips with UC. I had no idea you could put all zeros for bank account number and add it later.
DH has been valiantly completing a DLA assessment form for DD that has been sitting on the piano six months. Any top tips?7 -
On DLA try and get a charity to help or ask one of the other ASD people. I think @dawnybabes said she had knowledge that could help. You need to read the assessment rules. If you can't do something reliably and consistently it counts as not being able to do it even if you can do it some of the time... I had a lot of help with my form.

To take in a a family that needs help in the midst of all you have going on yourselves is absolutely amazing, I hope they are settling in ok xxMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁7

Thanks @savingholmes and @newgirly.
What is news? DH has gone back to work these days and Ukrainian Guest has a job on those days also.
Had ANOTHER flat yesterday, VERY expensive.
DD2 has her first GCSE paper tomorrow and it's preeettyyy stressful.
She also managed to get excluded for a day.
Ponyplops keeps having mistakes on one theme. She always accidentally ends up somewhere the grass is longer. Or devoid of her fly mask. Or both.7 -
Good luck to dd2 x

Great news on the employment front - hopefully long term that will take some pressure off you.

Some great news in there! Congratulations to DH and your Ukrainian guest.
Very sorry to hear about the flat, and even more DD2's troubles - there haven't been exams for a long time, and now suddenly there are again. Got to be *so* difficult.2023: the year I get to buy a car7 -
Hopefully DD2 is getting special cons for her exams this summer re DH? - I've made sure DS2's EO knows to apply for it for all of his - it's been a hard 2 years for them and then throwing cancer on top is just another thing x
Glad DH has rejoined the workforcexx

Hope you have some help re the EO.The regulations are so strict/obstructive about it. We had a kid whose dad was dying of C. Nowt. It's only something like 6 weeks after the initial diagnosis. Or death. And then it;s only something like 5% max on their grade. It truly is appalling. And heartless.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!7

Yes it is only max 5% - but per component to which SC can be applied - and timings (definition of recent) can be extended with a lesser percentage awarded then per component. It can , however, make the difference in going up a grade and therefore getting into 6th form.
It's horrible how little it seems for such an event as death of a parent - but it does also allow for death of a pet etc - so covers a lot of possibilities - although most are only worth 1 or 2%. Still worth it, though!I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £206
