Hurrah for the end of chemo, boo to vile Uber guy, glad your family has arrived safely eventually.6

I am very glad to hear that DH is coming to the end of his chemo - it's no surprise that spoons are in short supply! Here's hoping that life is going to bring you some more pleasant surprises in the near futureYou are very brave to take in a Ukranian family with everything that is going on at the moment in your life. I like to tell myself that I would have done the same thing if we had a small bedroom, but I'm not sure that I could have.

I keep losing posts, aaarrgghh!
All good here, our guest is at the "slump" stage of stress, very tired and tearful. Her little boy is settling in well at school.
Work is enjoyable. DH went into work a little today which made him happy but he needed a nap when he got home.8 -
Understandable for your guest to be slumped with exhaustion and stress right now. I'm glad her little one is settling in - he'll be stressed too, of course, but it shows in different ways.
That's great for your DH to be able to go into work for a little while - a phased return is the only sensible way forward. Hope you're okay yourself.2023: the year I get to buy a car9 -
A nap for DH sounds a most sensible idea - it's not just the work itself but being around people is exhausting!
Glad the guests have arrived - it must have been hugely exhausting on all levels for them before getting here.I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £207 -

Sounds positive on all fronts. But unsurprisingly it sounds like it will take time for everyone to find their new normal.Just make sure you look after you too.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25
