Traditionally I would post in purple, but times change and on my mobile.
I was torn between DFW and MFW but I feel like this is my spiritual home!
I haven't been around for years and in that time we've moved to a smallholding. DD1 now at uni, DD2 doing GCSEs and DS1 starting secondary in September.
We have a whacking 270k mortgage, but LTV is under 50%. We also have a car loan and *ahem* THREE credit cards.
Both still earning, but DH isn't too well.
Puppylove is now an auntie to DaughterofSatan and Ponyplops has a sister, Big'orse.
We have guinea pigs and accidental mice (8 so far!).
We're doing dry January...

Hello Alchemilla - i remember you - i may have been under a different name back then - so great to see you back posting - i've subscribed. Sorry to hear your hubby isn't very well at the moment - sending him positive thoughts and well wishes x
What are your plans? Debt free? mortgage free? 2 pronged approach?
Good luck with dry-anuary - mines enforced at the moment due to meds - i'm sure having a glass of something would make me feel betterbut it'll have to wait.

At the moment the plan is a bit of what DR calls storm mode since DH is due an op soon and who knows when/if he'll be ready to be back to work. When the treatment is over we'll see more clearly.
So the CCs are part stooze, part fix the shower that was leaking badly 😢4 -
Hello Al,
I remember you too - you once quoted Paul Simon to me when I asked if I could call you Al
I was also under a different username back then. Good luck with your new MFW/DFW journey!

We have the bindweed, the nettles and the docks here. X6 -
Happy news last night, I was offered a homeworking job.
Today we have returned baking trays to my parents, donated DD2's guides uniform to the guide leader for re-use, dropped two bags to the chazza, bought a sack of dog food from the farm supplies shop and (ahem, dry January) bought a little celebratory wine.
DS is having a Harry Potter thing so we watched the first film. I have vegetarian Sri Lankan curry cooking.
This evening's plan is a modest libation while watching Ally McBeal.6 -
Welcome back Al!The board will be richer for your chat, although I thought libations were off the table?6
