What a relief to have a proper diagnosis and have him in the system though (not to underestimate just how scary this is. That poor man must be in so much pain). Wishing you both well

While cutting down the tree yesterday with my friend, I recounted your anonymous tale and made him drink a pint of crab-apple cordial

  • Oh how frightening for you both, but at least a fast diagnosis and prompt action.

    Hello all,

Feeling like a zombie but Mr KK is home! 😊❤️

Unfortunately they want him to pass it as it’s ‘only’ about 1.5 inches from his bladder and it is so low in the pelvis now that they say it will be difficult to treat with ultrasound. They have given him the tube relaxing medication that someone mentioned on another board and he will take the day off tomorrow to come to a bit before going back to work on Tuesday. I will be working from home tomorrow so I can keep an eye on him. He has a follow up in 6 weeks so they can check whether it has gone or not. Mr KK is now saying he wants to see through a sieve to catch it …. 🙄😂❤️

Still haven’t done my payday YNAB but perhaps if I sleep a bit better tonight I could do a bit of that before starting work tomorrow.

Oh my goodness Kajikita, that sounds huge - is that the size of a marble?  I guess it will be broken down though and there's the medication.  Glad it all went fairly well though and that you are just waiting for nature/medicine to take its course.

It's about the size of my little finger nail.

They haven't and won't break it down - it is too low in his pelvis now to treat with ultrasound - apparently the bone of pelvic girdle disrupts the sound waves. The only option to break it up now would be laser and I suspect that would be specialist work and / or relatively expensive compared to sending him home with a few tablets .....

He's okay with it, resigned to the process. He slept well last night and I think the tablets must be having some effect as apparently he normally feels it enough to wake up at 3 / 4am and didn't last night.

He is just so relieved to be home! :) I am too. We will see what they say when he goes back to be scanned again in 6 weeks time.

My Mum is of the generation where a phone call is preferable to an email, whatever the news might be. With all that has been going on with Mr KK, I feel sure a call would be appreciated, and any period of radio silence would be readily forgiven, given the circumstances. I hope your parents are as supportive as mine.

This made me chuckle. My parents are .... well the best way of putting it is .... odd ....  ;) It's why I have such a rich and glorious personality!  :D They are sometimes supportive, but only on certain, unpredictable, things and only in their own way.

In my mum's case I suspect she would prefer an email - less immediately dramatic, she can absorb the news and think about how to respond, what questions to ask etc etc. Thank you for making me think about this :)

    Had a NSD today 😊
10.5K steps today - not surprised. I was on the shopfloor doing an incoming inspection because we have no staff! 😂
Down to three open bottles of shower gel and one of them is now one of my favourites 😊

Best moment of the day: my young technician’s face when I told him I was horribly lazy at school! He was so shocked! 😂😉 Maybe that will help him see his way through to how he can raise his Ooomph! 😉
