Well the £16.80 landed in my PayPal this evening and I dithered for 10 seconds and then thought, sod it and sent it off to the mortgage!!

It’s really cheered me up and there is something *very* satisfying about sending two weeks equivalent of QM33 payments cashback that I earned by paying for work car parking when I travelled to Italy 🇮🇹 and not my personal spend!  😉😊

I forgot, I had another small win today 😊

I have activated the amalgamating of 4 small pensions into 1 SIPP over Christmas. Most of them have been rolling over without any issues, but I had an email yesterday saying that one of the previous providers wasn’t willing to honour the transfer request as they had a different address for me. I managed to grab 5 minutes in between meetings today and got that sorted, so hopefully that transfer will happen without further drama now 😊

I’ve also just had nice bit of time creating a 60th birthday ’voucher’ to take my best friend out for a day out to Glastonbury, the chalice well and lunch on one of my bits of annual leave that I have already booked. Really good to have got this done as her birthday is Saturday! Just need to print and laminate it - I will let my eye fall on it fresh tomorrow and make any tweaks needed before doing that. Really enjoyed doing that 😊

Trip to hospital for Mr KK’s X-ray today was a total waste of time! We got there, receptionist in the imaging department knew he was coming in and why, so we sat down and waited, he went in and was told, “No we’re not going to do it today. You have to wait another two weeks.” He was told to go in as an urgent X-ray so he could then get treated.

We then got home to a letter from the consultant stating that he has sent Mr KK an appointment for …. 18th April!! 😳 Mr KK is raging ….

One small piece of good news - garage plugged my little fiat into the electronic analyser to diagnose the engine fault that started last weekend, and the only thing that came up was the clutch pedal switch. Garage owner gave it a good fiddle and couldn’t find any issues with it. The engine error disappeared as I was driving this morning, so maybe it’s just something to do with the new clutch settling in?

No charge to me and Garage owner was happy as he finally got back the stool that James’s great-grandfather (who was the village undertaker and made all the coffins) made. Mr KK has restored it for him 😊

What an absolute fiasco for Mr KK's appointment! Hope he gets sorted out soon. Good news on the car at least.

I was very relieved about the car!

Mr KK is feeling a bit better now after some painkillers and we have tracked down some urology numbers he can try tomorrow. Thank you for the good wishes 😊

Good grief at a mouse landing on your pillow 😱😂I don't mind mice at all and tolerate them in the house more than most people, but I think that would send even me shrieking too 😂

Glad Mr KK is feeling more reassured. Hope it passes soon!

Yes, each time one of us goes to the loo I think of you both and we get more water out and drink some (we keep a litre of cold filtered water in the fridge!). Well done on recognising the stress your DH was feeling and making that intervention.

We have similar here with Mr SL's eye - 3rd surgery since original detached retina yesterday - 4th is Monday fortnight, but the eye clinic at the County Town have been wonderful, once there (the doctor's receptionist qualities of the triage nurse were not helpful but she meant well)
