    Good morning world! 😊

I have woken this morning feeling bright and cheerful! 😊 Which is good thing as I have masses to do this weekend!!

Got off to a good start by sending £10.13 of Qm33 earnings over to the mortgage. First double digits payment on this for a while. Hopefully this will steadily improve now Christmas is over.

I'm still impressed you get anything from them without getting into a murderous rage - kudos to you 👍!

    😂😂😂😂

I’m quite patient, but it is quite slow. There was one week when I earned £17 - now that felt useful 😊 Never matched it since though.

I have been reading the how to get paid for noodling about online MSE article again this morning and either it’s been refreshed or there are new options, so I will start exploring those. Now that I have a routine with Qm33 I am hoping just to be able to add to it, iyswim.

  • I would also have binned the chilli, I am not good at eating at best of times, and in my experience you end up wasting more ingredients to make a bad option better and STILL resenting every mouthful.

Was I the only one dragged up on 'starving children who would be grateful for your meal'. And 'fetch me a brown envelope and I'll post it to them' which still induces guilt.

I wasn’t brought up on that, but I was really trying to eat it. But as I said before, it was *really* starting to get me down, dreading very lunch is not a good place to be ….
Anyway, it’s all gone now. Replaced with a fresh batch of Frugalwoods Rice n’ beans 😊

Hi Kajikita, I'm following your journey as you've a similar sized mortgage to us.  I love how you are really motivated.  I've also persevered in the past with eating recipes that haven't come out quite right, but these days I'm more inclined to pop them in the food recycling bin if they are too bad.  I've not made or defrosted anything too horrid recently, but I made the slimming foodie's lovely pasta sauce a few weeks ago and it was delicious.  So this week so thought I'd make double the quantities - I don't know if I was a bit too over zealous with the extra spices I added, or the Polpa tomatoes which were on offer (they are 'finely chopped' but definitely more of a pulp and slightly weird texture) but it had a bitter after taste.  Luckily I added some cheese and a dollop of pesto and got away with it - phew as there were quite a few portions.

I really do cringe at throwing food away, especially when you've made an effort in cooking it.  Redofromstart I do remember that phrase, but we never seemed to have much waste when I was younger - portions were smaller and there wasn't as much choice.  My mum's cooking including things like braising steak, stew and roast dinner.  I don't remember too many puds, maybe homemade fairy cakes or a slice of artic roll.  The most exotic thing we had was a Vesta Curry!!

    Hi @SandyShores 😊👋

I’m not sure that I’m really motivated but I am very, very stubborn. 😂  Once I have set my mind to something I won’t let go ….. 😉 Can I ask how old you are? I’m 52 and Mr KK is 57 😳 Also, do you have thread of your own?

Had a dreadful night’s sleep - kept waking up to the same rotating dream ….. Think it’s partly due to sinusitis (woke up with a banging headache this morning) and the fact that the boss’s boss’s boss is on site for two days from tomorrow which will include presentations, strategy discussions, 1:1s with here etc etc …..

In light of the above I let myself off any weights of squats this morning and am more than happy that I have got to 7.9K steps today (running from meeting to meeting 🙄).

Another NSD, which makes 16 in January 😊 Really enjoying the NSD challenge - love collecting up all the emojis! 😉😂🤩

Hope you get a good night's sleep KajiKita, nothing worse for me than a sleepless night.  I had a few strange dreams recently too - I can't remember what they were now but I think they were work related - very bizarre.  Definitely to do with lots going on at work at the moment and seem to be constantly waiting for the green light on contracts and start dates.

We're similar ages to you.  I don't know that I'm stubborn, but if I decide to do something I'll put my head down and plough through - whatever it takes   I think I'm on my third thread so far - got back on the property ladder, tried to overpay the mortgage but just ended up doing a few small things to the house.  I am focussed now though on paying off the mortgage as quick as we can.  Will be good to follow along for motivation.  My thread is here:

Got paid today so should be YNABing frantically. However, due to this cold, Mr KK being ill and working crazy hours this week (didn’t get home till 10pm last night - it’s usually 4.30pm) I think I will give myself a pass tonight!

NSD yesterday and today though 👍💪😊
