Done my end of week catch up on YNAB and I have finally reached £6K in savings (not including what I need to pay off the Virgin c/cd) with a TT I missed just before Christmas, £9.06 in TCB and a little TT I have done just now. Can’t tell you how much safer that makes me feel.

Still have a way to go until I have enough to cover 6 months minimum expenses, but that is a good start! 😊

2 of 52 books for the year read
NSD today (even managed to take my lunch into work)
    Weights and squats done
7.5K steps - a little below target but I suspect tomorrow will be busy so I will make up for it then.

Finally made the chickpea with leek frittata - looked hugely unconvinced going into the oven but was good coming out again! 😊

On track with grocery spends - in fact better than on track! Doing well.

Been watching Marie-Antoinette on iPlayer - fascinating ….

Cold here and keeps raining heavily so no work in the garden. About to start seed planning 😊

Not a lot happening on the £cial side - a NSD and no other transactions or opportunities for TTs etc.

8.8K steps - mainly because I spent 3 hours in the garden, weeding and clearing dead material. I can’t really see where I’ve been because all the weeds were weeny but that means I have got all the roots etc out for clover, weird fluffy weed that my garden loves growing, dandelions, couch grass, clover, teasel, ivy seedlings etc. etc. so that will put those two beds in good stead for the spring 😊 Cut the leaves back on my hellebores as they are just starting to flower but had to come in at about 3pm as I was getting cold and stiff in spite of wearing full thermals.

Mr KK went round and around for about the same amount of time hacking out brambles whilst wearing his welding gloves. My absolute hero!! ❤️ We need a bonfire now ….

    Read 3 of 52 books for 2023.

Got an ulcer, right on the end of my tongue - gah! Run down again! Sigh …. I have double dosed vitamin c tablets tonight.

  • Really feel for you on the run-down-ulcer-thing - me too. I like bonjela complete (the liquid coating, not the gel) to give them a bit of protection.
Start mortgage date: August 2022; Start mortgage amount: £240,999; Original mortgage free date: August 2056
    Current mortgage amount: £226,957.97

I’ve never seen the liquid coating bonjela, only the gel. I will look out for that. Thank you 😊

Feeling a bit better after double dosing vitamin c for a few days but still tired so I think I am still fighting a lurg if some kind.

    Today’s scores on the doors:

    Weights and squats done
9.8K steps done - went for two rounds of the site at lunchtime in the (freezing!) sunshine
    NSD
Its cold here so have closed the curtain on the gap between the living room and the snug and we are cosy on the sofa now 😊

Mortgage payment went out today so I will go upstairs and YNAB it and see if it gives me any TT opportunities 😊

I was hoping to update my colour-in-house-bricks tracker but my mortgage account isn’t showing the transaction yet 🙄 That will have to be one of tomorrow’s tasks 😉😊

    I’ve YNAB’d …..

If I have done my sums correctly I will get within 57p of emptying the joint account of funds through our standard DDs before my next contribution goes into the account …. Quite enjoying the jeopardy of this …. 😉

I have TT’d 32p from our joint account to the linked savings account 😊
