57p! You're living life on the edge! 😱😂1

I take my current account down to £0.00 every month (my spending money is in separate "pot" accounts). It's all set up to come out on the 1st of the month, so it irks me every month that the broadband direct debit stubbornly comes out at least a week later - I want to get back to zero 🤣!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
Cleared 🧚♀️🧚♀️🧚♀️!!! In 5 years, 1 month and 29 days
Total amount repaid: £72,307.03. £1.10 repaid for every £1.00 borrowed
Finally earning interest instead of paying it!!!3 -
Hahahaha …. I feel like I am being quite brave 😂😉😊
It is nice to feel I have more control than before. Be able to ‘run this risk’ in a way I never would have in times past.I have rooted out a current tapestry to add to my ‘less screen time in the evenings’. I’ve enjoyed it 😊
Unfortunately, whilst trying to remember where it was I discovered that at least one of my completed tapestries that I had tucked away in a drawer at the bottom of a bookcase in the living room is covered in mouse poop and wee …. 😢 I can’t face clearing out the drawer tonight - another job for tomorrow but I also need to work out how to clean the worst of the murine wee off the tapestry ground, particularly on the edge, as at some point I want to frame or make cushions out of them. Also, buried in this drawer I have found several books of previous version stamps (self adhesive but no barcode). I suspect I should take these to a post office and get them changed to new format as I can’t see me using them before they ‘expire’.KKAs at 15.07.25:

They don't expire until July now so that may help but you have to post them, the local post offices can't deal with them. Royal Mail appears to be making their usual omnishambles of it too.

Thanks for that - I saw on the home page an article about this so have printed out the relevant form and will get this started at least, this weekend

I’m struggling this week. Very tired atm so am just focusing on the bare minimum. Work intensity, meeting volume and tightness of deadlines has gone through the roof at work.
Managed all exercise yesterday including 9.9K steps but today was a real rush because I woke up to snow that I had to clear off the car before I could leave this morning, so I had no time. Just 7.6K steps today as too tired to do my circumnavigations of the site at lunchtime …. 😉Single bed sale from spare room has fallen through 🙄 but I have someone collecting an antique mirror that we no longer need this weekend. 😊
4 out of 52 books read.
NSDs continuing, taking lunch in every day. Now at 13 out of 15 target. The living room curtain that we made the room smaller with, is worth it’s weight in gold for keeping us warm in this cold spell! ❤️KKAs at 15.07.25:

NSD today, should be one tomorrow too - just making a sandwich to take in for lunch tomorrow.
I have come to the conclusion though, that the chilli I made from out of date ingredients from the cellar is just too horrid to persist with - I’ve now eaten three portions and can’t bear to eat any more. It tastes really weird and kind of sourly acrid - might be the ood jackfruit in there? Eating this is just too much and demoralising. I will be binning the remaining portions this weekend … 🤷♀️ I know this isn’t MSE but eventually it will drag me down too much.Haven’t kept up with the daily YNABing this week - things have just been too hectic, but I will probably do a good session tomorrow night.Planning batch cooking for the weekend - some more Frugalwoods rice and beans and I want to try making Ful Medames from the fava beans that arrived this week. If I remember I will start the soaking process tomorrow night. I should remember - they are lurking on the dining room table so I will notice them 😉
I am also hoping to get started on some sowing: sweet peas, resow the broad beans and some red onions from seed 😊
Hubby and I have been talking about changes we want to make to the house and he has been drawing out the changes we want to make on copies of some original drawings of the house so he can get outline agreement from the building inspector. In doing so we have realised that the downstairs loo should have a window! It is pretty grim without a window or any extraction. Mr KK has found a small opening light lurking at work (the wall it has come out of is becoming a gun room so the window is no longer needed) and he will make up a window frame to put it in 😊 We will lose that loo altogether when we (many years down the line) put a wet room in an extension and a new flight of stairs in, but in the meantime it will be an excellent quality of life improvement 😊

I'm glad it's not just me that tries to persist in eating horrific things despite the fact that you should really throw it away and start again. I always come to the conclusion that I would pay at least double whatever it cost to make it, to never have to eat another portion again.

Evening all 😊
A NSD 😊
Squats and weights done.Steps low at 5K 🤷♀️😉£23.01 of interest into my Atom account today 👏
All portions of inedible ood jackfruit chilli removed from the freezer and defrosting on the draining board!Mr KK was my hero this evening 😊 I love baked spuds and we decided, for an easy tea tonight, to have bolognese. I was thinking, as I was working today, it would be nice to have bakers with the bolognese instead of spaghetti. By the time I got home this evening Mr KK had put the oven on and picked up some bakers from the coop! All without any dialogue 😊 I think I’ll keep him 😉❤️KKAs at 15.07.25:
