@f0xh0les, @PennysIntoPounds, @beanielou - it’s nice to think he’s regretting my leaving but I suspect that he was trying to check I hadn’t posted anything negative or already got another job …. 🙄 (in either case I break the terms of the agreement and he doesn’t have to pay me …)
He did the same to another ex colleague he sacked as well ….
If he did ask me to come back I know what my terms would be - a change of reporting line and a restructuring of the role. None of it will happen though … 😉
The job was advertised by the end of last week - when I looked at it I can see that the scope of the role is actually huge and they’ve reworded the advert to cover what he perceived I wasn’t doing (it was never in the scope of the role). It will distort what they recruit and I think it will cause them problems, but not my story any more … 😉
I have unpicked all the knitting back to a known base point and will try again today. Finally finished Lucifer last night - exactly as it should be - the lack of the possibility of redemption always bothered me … 😉
Little Cats were remarkably insistent on breakfast this morning and have now crashed out for a marauding session. 😊 They will reappear wet and muddy and demand lap at some point … 😉
The rain was almost biblical at times last night (I was very glad not to be out in it) and it’s still pretty wet this morning so I suspect today will be an indoor day 😊

I must admit that every time I open the curtains shortly after 6.30am each morning and it’s pitch black, I am very grateful not to have to go out in it atm ….

Well, as predicted, today was very much an indoor day … ☔️ 😉 Only 3.8K steps.
I am proud to report that I have tacked the second door curtain hem and Mr KK’s padded shirt (the entire side seam and pocket edge had come undone) and machine sewn all of them 😊 👏 I’m quite impressed that I was able to remember how to thread up the machine, as it has been so long since I used it last. It ran really well - I had it serviced a few years ago when it needed a new power lead (it’s a S1nger - possibly from the 1950s? 🤔 Weighs a tonne! 💪) and hadn’t used it since.
That then allowed me to declutter the sewing box back up to the craft room too 😊
Cleaned two more cupboard doors in the kitchen as part of the lunchtime washing up 😊
Came down with a banging headache - sinuses probably - so went to bed for the afternoon. Slept for a good couple of hours. Hope it doesn’t disrupt my sleep too much tonight … 🤞
The octopods have confirmed that the meter readings at the end of our account with the French energy company and the start of our account with the octopods have both been accepted 😊👏Mortgage advisor has been in touch. We are about to finally settle on a deal.I hear on the grape vine that ‘Pampered Prince’ got read the riot act today. He’s decided to resign and get a month’s notice pay rather than being sacked … 😉

If you're a garmin user, can you please join me and @redofromstart with our steps challenge, as I might actually be able to beat you 🤣 (although as both of you are not working at the moment, technically you have an advantage as you're not tied to a desk)

Yes, it would have irritated me too … I like to think that I did all the prep and the interim manager just delivered the verdict …. 😉
