I'm so glad you and Chloe are both feeling better- and that there's been a bit more of a realistic reset of domestic finances!
That sounds like a lovely bustley day tomorrow, exactly the sort of things that are good for the soul4 -
Pleased to hear you are feeling better. Amazing the way a cloud lifts when external stressors vanish. Enjoy the crafting.2

Frankly I was more concerned about Chloe who couldn't articulate her woes except to her cat brother who probably said "phffft!" You are very articulate and know what you need to do to heal and have Mr KK who I assume knows to never go "phffft!" But it's good to know you are bother feeling better.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Read through your diary updates with continued disbelief on the old boss, sounds like you will be very missed. However onwards and upwards!
Great news that Mr KK can pick up the slack and its a bit more equal.
Do you want to let us know some of your new job vision board?DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

It's been a couple of days and I'm not sure why I haven't posted here - sorry.
Managed another hour in the garden yesterday - cleared the peas and sweetpeas and associated structures, so that is visually tidier now.
Also tidied my potting shed up enough to sow 5 lots of hardy annual flower seeds - it will be interesting to see how I get on with these through the winter. Unfortunately, that also showed me how much stuff I had missed taking to the tip! Ah, well next time ....
The craft planning session was good - apparently the first project in November will be lino cutting (I should still be around to be able to attend that one) The main organiser, who lives across the road, has dropped off a book about how to paint flowers. It wasn't quite what I was looking for, as I want to be able to draw flowers, more in 3D to be able to embroider them more effectively, but I really appreciated the gesture as she is quite fierce and Mr KK is quite convinced she hates everyone, especially him!
I have also had an invite to go over to another lady from that session for a cuppa and a chat next Tuesday.
Started the pattern part of the front panel of my jumper. It's a bit lacy and a bit intimidating (never knitted 'lacy' before ....) so I am taking my time with it .....
Meeting / site visit done about the defib install. It looks like it will be simpler / easier than we thought. It will be installed on a single storey building which means we can run the power cable straight from the consumer unit, which has an empty 'socket', up into the loft (access hatch and light both available up there), across from back to front of property, drop the tail down the inner wall, wire in a connector thingamee and straight out through the wall to the defib unit. We won't even need armoured cableChair was delighted and feels like she is achieving something, my neighbour got on well with her and I was nice to both the the landlord and tenant who's home this will be installed on ....
Skimmer has finally turned up today and although he works slowly and (OMG!) so messily, the results look like they will be good. Those bits of the house are looking better already, now that the breeze blocks are hidden.
The £50 referral appeared in our Octopods energy account today. The £50 for the friend hasn't as yet .... <crosses fingers for her>
Popped out this morning to go an visit an ex colleague who retired the Friday before I finished on the Monday. He and his wife are just lovelyHe'd also invited a mutual, other ex-colleague who is the lady I lunch with regularly and we had a lovely morning with two dogs, many Wait-bloom pastries, cuppas and chat about their garden and retirement plans
Didn't get home until 2pm and skimmer immediately requested a cuppa for himself so I was grateful to past self for making that batch of lentil-veg soup earlier in the week!
I will do a separate post on my Job Vision Board.

Thanks @beanielou and @Cheery_Daff 😊❤️
Mr KK came home early and has both chivvied on the skimmer and cleaned up after him! If skimmer does a similar day tomorrow he should finish it, which is needed as the forecast from then on is dire for quite a while.I forgot to mention a small piece of domestic virtue. I have pulled apart, decluttered and deep cleaned one section of the kitchen today, which also included taking a stack of paper pulp egg boxes down to the compost heap 😇 That job has been one that has been ‘looking at me’ for aaaages so I feel much better for having got it done 😊
The knitting pattern is being awkward …. I’m finding it complex and I will have to rip back two rows and start the lacy section again. I’m actually tempted to transfer the front section onto the single piece loop needle and instead start knitting a sleeve - which has the same lacy detail but is obviously a lot smaller to make mistakes on … (There’s no actual law that says you have to do the front and back before the sleeves is there ….? 🤔😉😂)
EDIT: I found a £1 coin and a 2p coin in the washing machine this morning. I have NO idea where they appeared from as I had put my stuff in the machine, which had NO POCKETS …. 🤷♀️😂
