Could Chloe have caught her claw in something and torn it? Particularly easy to do if her claws are a bit on the long side. Might just need a bit of antiseptic on it at some point.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Chloe-bean seems a bit better. She seems a bit more alert (less internally focused iykwim), came out in the garden with me this afternoon and has just eaten a good tea. I think her paw is still sore but not as painful as last night.I’ve had a good day.
- Started with shoulder exercises, chair squats and yoga. Feeling a tiny bit looser than yesterday.
- Did my new job vision board à la @debtfreewannabe321 - really enjoyed it 😊- 4 rows of knitting completed.
- Emptied recycling bin and tidied up books in the living room
- Worked out new, reduced, but more expensive (new more expensive mortgage and energy fix) budget. I now know my minimum salary. I have told Mr KK this evening what he needs to contribute. He winced a bit - I don’t think he appreciated how much my old job insulated us financially …. 🤷♀️ We will survive 😊 I feel better for knowing that if I don’t get the equivalent high paid job again we will be okay - tight, but okay.
- Made a veggie lentil soup with what I think @redofromstart describes as ‘fridge gravel’ 😉 A sad, old carrot, two opinionated potatoes, a stick of celery from the bunch that I keep in water on the windowsill for salad leaves, the end of a stick of broccoli including the peeled chopped stalk, red lentils and a veggie stock cube 😊
- Spent an hour in the garden; cut back a few things that were looking ugly or blocking views. Emptied three old bulb pots and planted the remnant bulbs under the Contorted Hazel 😊
Mr KK is a bit fed up - the man who is meant to be skimming the external walls did turn up, cadged a cuppa from me, barely did anything and left again. He’s texted Mr KK to say he won’t be turning up tomorrow (best weather day of the week! 🙄) and will come 08.30 on Friday. The job won’t be done in one day - needs three we think and next week is a horrendous forecast ….

Tomorrow is going to be busy …
9am tip slot.
10am crafts planning session at the chapel - I won’t be able to join in this monthly event in the long term, but I will whilst I am not working 😊
6pm meeting at proposed defibrillator installation site with my sparky next door neighbour, Chair of PC and householder who’s offering to host the defibrillator. 😊
I have re-set my standing orders to the joint accounts and Mr KK is doing the same beside me on the sofa 😊 He’s paying quite a bit more but it really was t fairly distributed before - I had quietly picked up paying for a lot of things without properly realising. No wonder I always felt tight and penny watching and he seemed generous ….
Chloe is wandering about, carefully, on all four paws again and is currently, outside, marauding as is her usual wont at this time of day. Methinks she is feeling better 😊 As am I actually. Just two days away from that place / that dynamic seems to have really helped already.
