I really appreciate the support and validation.KKI can’t imagine how upset you must have been on such a special day but know this was cos you were not just looking as beautiful and kind as Cinderella but you were also rescuing Prince KKCharming from their wicked clutches
.
however and this is said with love - I wonder why you feel you have to keep the knowledge of their abuse and insanity to yourself - I get it with mr Kk sort of but with friends ? Never brought it up with the sister and say ‘you hurt me, you made me feel xxx. ‘ ?At least when they are both ill now you know to not waste time being sympathetic-
not to get too ‘Misery’ but I’d be trailing white 50p rice wedding confetti and leave them on the sisters floor on an occasional basis to mess with her head if she doesn’t woman up and apologise
on the work …
I think if I am not doing my job then I would want actionable steps to correct and get back to speedDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

@LadyWithAPlan, I guess I kept it to myself because that has been my pattern for the whole of my life. My upbringing was very much to be ‘seen and not heard’. Also the whole of my wedding day (apart from marrying Mr KK) was dictated by what others wanted, the whole thing was just something to be endured and got through. So what sil and mil did was just more of the same iyswim 🤷♀️
There has never been a time to discuss what they did with either of them. Neither of them are particularly deep thinkers so I suspect it is looooong wiped from their minds. Mr KK is not close to his sister so we very rarely see them - Mr KK has already said that once MiL dies and the house is dealt with he probably won’t have much to do with his sister as they are such different people.Re work, I think they are hardened to and expect to fail. Means they don’t have to face up to, what in them flinches from things ….

I’m seeing different friends all week, interspersed with time to myself. Just what I need 😊
I will have to do some ‘chores’ but I am going to try to either minimise them or in,y do the ones I actually want to to do.Afternoon off today as have blood test and dental check up, but at least I don’t have the commute today 😊KKAs at 15.08.25:

All I can say in catching up with the work situation is good news re the bathroom.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!1 -

Yes, finally having the bathroom functional even if not finished, has made a huge difference.Today, I paid the sparky first thing and then worked 7am to 11am - my diary for next week is RAMMED!Blood test done.
Headed down to the builders merchant - couldn’t get a loo roll holder (they don’t stock them - have to order them in 🙄) but did pick up a swatch card for bathroom paint colours and paid off the account.Hurried home for a quick bite for lunch and then went out for dental check up - no issues found, maintenance x-rays done - £78.Fell into plant centre that is enroute to home from dentist and sent £16 of pocket money on 6 pretty plants 😊 Hoping to get them into ready made gaps tomorrow.
Was shattered when I got home, so sat on the sofa with D0wnton, four rows of knitting and a brew 😊
Chose a paint colour for the bathroom to buy in anti mould vinyl - Mr KK agreed with my choice, he will go to builders merchant to collect 2.5L on his way to / from his butcher trip whilst I wrangle the groceries delivery first thing tomorrow.
Indian takeaway for tea - proper treat, especially on a wet, dark evening 😊
Shattered now ….
Tomorrow is going to be intense … so much to fit in …
Sunday I will be asleep!KKAs at 15.08.25:

Oh and another small update ….
We’ve been approved for the 4.85% mortgage loan, fixed for three years. Hope we don’t have to take that one ….
Next step will be to talk to existing lender in August (they have sent us a redemption statement for the potential new lender so hopefully that will wake them up to the fact that we are looking).3rd step will be to look at what’s available as options / rates in September … 🤞
