I thought the two little monkeys, whilst in innocent-mode, might appeal! 😉 George has been rechristened as Georgeous - he takes it with cat patient-disdain! 😉😂

It is tanking it down with rain here atm and the forecast is similar for tomorrow. Frustrating. I will have to focus on the house - not a bad thing. Tidying up here I come …. 😉

Cats just so cute. Loved them
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

The cats have been teenagery today due to rain meaning that they didn’t want to go out. Our previous cats didn’t care about rain but these two delicate flowers do! 😂 They’ve been demanding a lot of food today, out of sheer boredom I think. 😉 Fortunately it has dried up now and they are out marauding 😊

We’ve had a busy day. Achievements include:
    - Birthday parcel for my mother prepped and posted.
    - Grocery delivery wrangled. @PennysIntoPounds, I finally got to try the mozzarella veggie burgers - thanks for the rec 😊👏
    - Several more rows of blanket knitted 😊
    - Bathroom flooring chosen - not exactly what I would have liked, but fashion 🙄🤷‍♀️😊
    - £250 cash taken out for the trades that have worked on the bathroom this week. I have to try and take out another £250 tomorrow.
    - Mr KK has bought the bathroom paint - this I do like 😊
    - Ordered flowers for neighbour who’s bathroom we have been borrowing 💐
    - Captured all bathroom spends to date and what remaining ones we have left to expect. Transferred to Mr KK half a week’s take home pay. It looks like we will have enough in the joint savings to cover all costs of the bathroom (even the remaining skirting and architrave that we need) but we won’t be left with much after. I’m not unhappy with this though. I’d set aside £4K for the project from my bonus, paid half of Mr KK’s wage (for the first time on a project like this) so he didn’t have to try and get it all done in the evenings etc, and although we didn’t anticipate all of the costs, mapping out estimates and tracking what costs actually were, have brought really useful learnings.
    - Chapel fete attended, cakes bought and chat had. Returned keys to neighbour who let us use her bathroom 😊
    - Big tip run done - very satisfying 💪
    - Helped Mr KK move the engine hoist from the garage down to the shed at the bottom of the garden so he can put the gear box back in his truck
    - An hour in the garden doing some fairly hefty clearing of things that have gone over - three heaped wheelbarrows taken to compost heap.

In less good news we have a leak in the bathroom coming through and staining the living room ceiling, which will mean lifting all the screwed down ply in the bathroom … 🙄 Mr KK has been sending the plumber increasingly demanding texts today … plumber is coming round some time tomorrow. Thankfully it will take a couple of weeks for the flooring to turn up!

Great productive Saturday, what a nuisance about the leak- but hopefully outweighed by the excellence of the mozzarella burgers!

Plumbing looks like it should all be so simple, but it is dark, arcane, magic. Nothing makes Mr FH swear so much as plumbing. It refuses to work the way it should, and then leaks.  We blame Satan ..... nods wisely and picks up teacup.
