Coupon-mad/Redx i have read through the 44 pages on Bpa cops website but cannot see anywhere it says about grace periods in 2016, I found this about grace periods in 2015 but would you think it would apply to parking and having ten minutes to say go indoors and get permit, or visiting friends and have ten minutes for them to give you their permit? It seems to indicate to most times overstaying time after paying for parking? Thankyou

If the Code of Practice was not further amended/updated until after your vehicle's parking event, then the 2015 CoP applies. The BPA have a chronological list of CoP updates on their website.

Yes you can argue a reasonable (not defined but sufficient minutes) consideration period at residential visitor parking MUST give enough time to arrive, park, read signs, then go inside to fetch the permit, scratch off details like the day/time or fill in your car details, walk back to the car and display it.

It helps if their photos only span x minutes and as usual it helps that their signs are inconspicuous, unlit and sparsely positioned in corners, a high wall or places too inaccessible (behind bins or other cars?) to read terms.

Can you still get (or can someone nearby get) photos of  their signs or have they changed?

Why are you quoting from the RAC Foundation?  They're not the horse's mouth. Use the BPA Code of Practice.

So, as i am doing my enquiries regarding the dispute with Ukpc and Dcb for the first pcn they say was issued car was seen at 11.16am. ticket was issued 5 minutes later at 11.21am. This means they allowed the driver to park the vehicle, get out of the car, lock the car up, go to read the sign which does seem quite high up, if they lived at the address or were visiting friends, they would have walked to the house, either unlock and go indoors or wait to be let in by the occupant, find or be given a permit, come back out of the house, go to the car, unlock the car and place the permit in the car, as can be seen the attendant allowed a grace period of 5 minutes before issuing a ticket. I know it can be said the car might have been there before it was first seen by the attendant, but SEEN to ISSUE time 5 MINUTES!!!

I have mailed Ukpc and think i am p....ing them off ha ha, they told me to deal directly with Dcb and they have closed the matter, but i am still sending them " I REQUEST" mails, they sent me details via Sar but forgot to put the NOTIFICATION copies they should have sent out after the NTK letters and before the FINAL REMINDER letters, as defined by Bpa on their website, i explained they probably forgot to enclose them in their Sar details they sent me and would be a SIMPLE PROCESS for them to supply me with copies, i also told them they forgot to send in  the Sar details PROOF OF POSTING and could they supply that at the same time, they started the ball rolling so they should not tell me don't  stop asking them and contact dcb, i again notified them i NEVER received any mails at the address they say they sent letters to, including the NOTIFICATION letters ha ha!!!! My husband has got his teeth into this and looking at every angle to try and prove them wrong, win or lose he will not give in!!!

Unkomaas, i have always said i appreciate your help and advice on these matters, i dont care where any of the information comes from i am just studying and looking for ways and information to help prove these parking firms wrong, i know they do this 24/7 but like anyone else they can still make mistakes, which is why appeals are won in court not just for parking related issues
