Pay off mortgage and start having even more fun 😁

Thank you everyone 🙂 Felt fine yesterday and then worse again last night 😩

On the plus side I might have lost a tiny bit of weight, cheating but I have set a target for the month of 5lb (total target of 17lb). 

It’s “part”  pay a day today, the bit from our company not dh’s employed wages, so I top up my personal spending pot of £100 for the month hooray! There is still a bit knocking around but I need to do a Tesco shop as I have a slot tomorrow, but anything left will go to the cruise excursion savings pot. 

Dh has suggested going to York for my birthday in March, which I don’t mind, he says we wont do anything else as I keep turning down requests for meals out with him, poor thing! Although it’s usually last minute when I’ve got dinner planned and there’s no deals on so it will cost a lot 😆 

Might have to factor a meal out with him this month from the personal spends I think! I was planning a trip to the zoo this month but it’s getting later now and the weather has been very wet, the cheap deal ends on the 31st though so I need to decide soon if we are going! 

Dh and I have a cruise booked for the start of may, round the uk for eight nights, half paid for by the transferred deposit from another cancelled bigger trip. We have asked my parents if they want to go as they have not got anything booked and dads been ill, they have said yes and now my aunt is coming too. It’s ok, but I must admit some time alone with dh would have been good, but I do feel like they don’t do much on their own travel wise but will with us. Aunt would rather hang out with us as we are more fun she says, I’m thinking if it as our good deed for the year 😁

I think its lovely that you have that relationship with your parents, I only did a couple of 2 trips with my mum and dad and I wish I could have done more. 
We did a UK cruise for OH 60th 4 years ago, it was great - a bit rocky at times but really enjoyable

Hi mfd’s I remember you mentioning that cruise, I can’t believe it’s four years ago already 😱 where does the time go? I’m glad you enjoyed it though. 

Busy weekend, I was round dd’s Saturday from 6am for her Harry Potter marathon, only managed the first three films though , everyone else managed the full eight with ds2 and dil getting home at 2.25 am this morning, way to much for me even though I love it 😆 went out for breakfast at the garden centre with dh this morning, it’s gone up from £15 to £18 for two, so that won’t be a regular thing. 

I’ve done a partial money shuffle today, the end result is I’ve skimmed off what’s left from my personal spends, which now has a refreshed £100 balance again, plus I’ve left  £50 in the overflow account to see is through until the end of Jan with food,  together with Xmas money we were given and we have a total surplus of £354.53 to go to the Norway trip pot. The total amount needed by the end of Nov is £946.20 for excursions booked, £140 for parking and £960 spending money for extras and drinks for 12 nights, total £2046.20 or £186.01 per month over 11 months, still a way to go to find all that from nothing 😩

I forgot to mention I received an Amazon voucher for taking out a new life ins policy after ours ended, on purchase it said £45 but I’ve got one for £95 😁 I’ve used a bit of it already £6 on a new shower head as ours broke last night, and £8 on a tub of slim fast as I’m struggling to kick off the weight loss, it’s only £5 on offer in boots but was out of stock and I don’t want to wait. 

Might have a go at seeing what I can eBay this week, I did talk to dh about starting to clear the garage which he said he will help with but I can’t cross the threshold due to seeing the biggest spider I’ve ever seen in my life (think actual tarantula size!) it was years ago but I seriously still can’t go in, I’m dependant on him and he’s busy plus doesn’t want to do it,  need to beg dil to help when she’s not so busy with uni. 

Thoughts for this week: 

• Don’t go over £50 overflow money for food this month - 9 days 
• EBay at least five items 
• See if I can get mil’s birthday present with the Amazon voucher, freeing up cash 😬
• finish reading first book for Jan, then read second - oops! 
• Start slim fast for at least one meal a day and reduce snacking- target weight loss total is 17lb hopefully by end of April (cruise time) 
• Do something diy to improve the house

Just had an unexpected visit after work from dd and hubby, so had a nice chat and fed them veggie burgers from the freezer, also had a rare bit of time with ds1 who she’s not seen since before Xmas, he’s quite elusive and either at girlfriend’s place, work, gigs or football 😆 lovely to have them all here together! 

Keeping up the theme of diy beauty nowadays, I’ve dyed my roots today and done a pedicure. I’ve not had acrylic nails since last June at dds wedding and even got my aunt to cut my hair the other day, I’m not sure what the savings are here, but lots since I stopped having highlights, and way under your usual Essex beauty budget I’m sure 😂
