Thats the trouble with gifting - even if you think you are doing a nice thing gifting something to somebody, even without any expectation of a reciprocal gift, it can make the person feel guilty.

I admire your boy telling everyone in the family and sticking to his decision (I wonder if he ever feels a touch uncomfortable if you still give him gifts) -  it relieves him of hassle of buying, everyone else the hassle of thinking of stuff for him and him the hassle of wondering how to get rid of joke presents or stuff that isn't to his taste.

Well done getting your new TV

I remember Martin making that point in his Xmas speech he shows every year Daisy. No ds2 doesn’t have a problem won’t people buying presents,  his attitude is “I’ve told them and if they want to still buy that’s up to them” 🤣 you can’t stop mums and grans buying for you at Xmas 😬

Off to hospital for a blood check soon, fighting for space in the car park again 😒 then off to the factory to visit the guys and pick up the tv. Things are now tense there, ages ago they booked the flat in York for the four of them to go bank holiday as a leaving do, they shut a few days after. First my brother dropped out as he’s too busy, then one of the guys said it was too much walking last time and he struggles and the last one dropped out yesterday as his MH is bad. I feel so bad for dh ☹️ he’s worked with two of them since he was 15 and the other is my brother and it’s the end of an era. Not sure what he will do now, he’s saying he might go alone but it’s a long drive and he’s so exhausted I’ll be worrying about him driving on his own really! As if I don’t feel bad enough going on a 50th mini cruise over our anniversary anyway 😩 I should add he doesn’t mind me doing that at all I just feel a bit guilty and there was only one date that fitted with the others.

Went out for dinner yesterday with the girls that I hardly ever see anymore which was nice, spent £32.50 on a pizza, dessert and lemonade incl. tip not sure if that’s good or not nowadays, seems expensive to me for a high street chain with no deals around? But only ever eat toast for breakfast out so it’s been a while, the personal spending pot took a hit yesterday what with that and I bought a big collage photo frame to finish off the room from the r@nge. I did pop in b00ts as I checked online and their small photos were I think about 18p online and instore they were 55p ?! Not sure why but I decided I will do a bit of online comparing and do it all from home this week. I remember getting 100 prints free a month from a particular place, you just paid postage but that deal has ended now. Anyway, I’ll be late if I don’t move!
