I am really sorry to hear you have to have the chemo. I hope it  doesn't make you feel too awful. Best to zap it with the horrid chemicals though. And from a positive perspective, at least the weather is warmer, so less hair won't make you feel shivery and more rubbish.

Chemo news must be hard to hear. A friend has just finished hers and was back sea swimming last week. Love the idea of long red curls, maybe with pink bits too?

Sending lots of love. Stock up on ginger beer if you like ginger. Fentimans has sustained DH through.

If you get nausea tell them quickly and they can change your drugs and fix it, you don't have to suffer that.

One thing we weren't expecting, DH got given a huge gift bag with all sorts of lovely expensive treats in from the friends of the hospital.

He did have to tell the "friends" to burger awf when they tried to practise Reiki on him, but he's loved chatting with the vicar (he's not religious).

If you fancy red curls, I say go for it. Some wigs can be beautiful and you could have a different hairdo for each mood!

1st session done! 🙌 Just over 4 hours in hospital - not too bad 😊 I feel OK right now - but, then again, they did give me 3 sorts of anti-sickness meds - and a big bag of various drugs to bring home with me! 😄 Am expecting to feel rougher over the next few days - but we shall see... The good news, though, is 1 down and only 5 left to go! 😊


Graduations are both in July about a week apart - not the best timing, as they are just after session 5 (assuming all timings run to plan) - I feel that that week I do absolutely nothing else other than go to those events 😊😊🤞 I'm also getting the kids to ask about special seating - I will potentially be neutropenic, so don't want to be sat in amongst lots of people - I'm hoping that they can sit me in the disabled spaces if there's enough room - they tend to be a bit away from others (and also means I should have an easier escape to the loo if required - some side effects can be a bit grim if you get them....)

But it is all good! (Relatively speaking, of course! 😉😄) - it was discovered and treated early and the care has been amazing at all stages- and life is not bad and my kids are brilliant 😊🥰😊
