My fav colour too. Rest up!7

'Twas my birthday at the weekend - we went out for breakfast on Satirday to a lovely independent eaterie in a wee village - sadly lots of potholes and bumps in the roads and lanes leading there -ouch! Brought out more bruising -i am very multicoloured! ππ
Several visitors on the day left me rather tired - no nap or even a lie down in the day. Lovely to see people though - and I've now run out of vases with how many flowersΒ πΒ I have! There are 4 vases of bouquets in the kitchen alone! π€£π
Yesterday I had the house to myself - dhΒ and dd were both in the office and the boys at school - the last time I was home alone with no work was pre covid! It was lovely - and quite productive (with lots of breaks!) Ironing amd paperwork were done to the background of much catch up tv. Lots of paperwork filed/ shredded/ recycled. Today I need to do the paperwork regarding my old pensions- transfer my old TP scheme to my new LGPS scheme and my old LGPS scheme I want to confirm that I don't want it merged with the bed one (I think!) - that way I can take it at 60 - although it's only a very tiny one at cΒ£1k pa - I worked for that school for less than 18 months at 20 hours p/ wk term time only. My bank DB pension pays out at full rate at 60 too (available now at reduced if I wanted) -and my SIPP will also be available in 3 years. Then new lgps and state at 67. Dh has DB at 60 and also his current job pension at 60 - and sipp from 55 - and then state at 67. I think we'll be ok π€π€
Today's plan other than pension paperwork is more tv, eating cake and putting away yesterday's laundry. And putting my new solar lights somewhere outside to charge up before hanging them around at the weekend (assuming weather ok)I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 Β£124616 01/11 Β£89873 01/13 Β£52546 01/15 Β£12133 07/15 Β£NILNet sales 2024: Β£2010 -

Thank you! π₯°
Pension admin bits done. I could get updated values on our dB pensions but I can't really be bothered right now! I've also got the paperwork for DHs shares - none are realisable right now without being subject to tax/ NI - but the plan is he keeps them until retirement anyway.
Popped in to work yesterday- first time driving since the op. They are really busy and working crazy long hours. Things just keep going wrongHowever, as a result I've asked my GPS to extend my (un)fit note for a further 2 weeks - I was shattered just from the social element of visiting - dealing with 150 kids and their exams does not appeal. I've asked for the fit note to be for alternative working arrangements- ie reduced hours and ideally wfh. Work are OK with it and would do that anyway but it's better that it's formalised. I can do post easter mock exam planning (not yet touched! π±π±) And book invigilators for those and the external summer exams. And some data work.Β DH thinks I'm being a wuss but they are working 12 hour days at a minimum and there is a lot to do thinking on your feet and things to move around and people to be bumped into (y1 are all way taller than me so when I'm trying to get past 150 of them outside an exam room it's easy to be bumped into or knocked by an elbow - or even a backpack...... no thanks!! And it gets me past my results appointment- which is a big thing psychologically as until then I don't know what the next stage is/ timescales.Β
Bought DH another Β£175 of PBs. It's a bit early in the month really, but interest rates on the account the money came from are really low, so it doesn't matter in real terms.
I've been looking at a new to me car - DD has been using mine.Β She has offered to buy it but I said she could just put fuel in it. Its been good for her confidence.Β
We have hopefully found someone to do the boys' bathroom - but probably not until July/ August.Β

Belated happy birthday!Β
It sounds like it is a good idea to avoid the big crowds. Can you stay with the extra time/special requirements exam takers? When I was a student (uni admittedly) it was a lot less hectic in that sense.9 -
Belated birthday wishes greent, having more time to heal and recover sounds very wise especially as we are hurdling towards exam season.ΒJune 2025 - part 1 - Β£19,145 part 2 - Β£21,973 Total - Β£41,118 29 months to go!7
